A first step into an electrical future has already been taken. The Mini Countryman has recently been available with the plug-in hybrid module of the BMW 220 XE Active Tourer. While a 1.5 liter three -cylinder petrol engine drives the front axle, the rear axle gets electrical energy (65 kW / 88 hp) and thus a total output of an impressive 165 kW / 224 hp and a maximum torque of 385 Newton meters. The base price lies with an impressive 36.500 euros at the level of the 190 PS diesel. Due to the 7.6 kWh batteries in the underbody, the trunk volume shrinks by around ten percent to 405 liters to 1.275 liters (Countryman: 450 liters to 1390 liters). The electrical range is between 25 and 40 km depending on the driving style.

  1. Electromobility is a wrong way
    It would only make sense if the electricity is generated from renewable energies. This is ABE. only to a limited extent. We are already buying tons of nuclear power from abroad. So only f. Homeowners with Spanish? But: the current that you need yourself can no longer be fed into the network. Electrical heaters would be better. No battery is required, no fireplace, no maintenance, no chimney sweep
