Battery fails in 42 percent of cases

    Starter batteries are neither as part of the inspection nor during the examination by the TuV … Checked for lifespan or condition, only for the current function: does not work or does not work – it happened to me myself. I didn’t know that: I had my car in the inspection and TuV -everything great – nothing worked two weeks later. I only found out about this missing examination. Batteries probably last between 4 and 6 years. Every car owner must make sure to exchange them in good time. When this point came is necessary: there is probably no technical system that shows the remaining service life of the battery to the driver… That would be a very nice technical feature…!

    Breast of breakdown number 1: The battery! With combustion cars. Every fourth of the 4 million ADAC breakdown inserts could be traced back to the starter battery failures. Who would have thought that? As the second most common cause of use, problems with motor and engine management are mentioned (cause of each second use). I’m really glad that I am now driving an electric car. 61% of the most common breakdown causes cannot occur with me. Personal practical experience: none of my ca. 20 combustion cars in car life 1.0 (everything new) has come from the first 3 years without an unscheduled workshop visit. My two electric cars already. I don’t want to talk about breakdown inserts. Everyone is his.

    The battery of your electric car only lives 8-10 years. Only then is it not enough to go to the next hardware store and buy a new one for little money. Of course, you buy a new vehicle every 3-4 years then you have no battery problems regardless of which vehicle. Is already cool at an electric car about non-occurring battery problems. It only consists of batteries.

    made a car battery for 4-5 years. You could conveniently change them yourself and the neighbor and not the ADAC came to the start -up aid. Nowadays it is hardly possible to do anything on the car yourself. Yes, even driving should be taken from you. Overall, a basic knowledge is lost. I can still remember well when my car no longer jumped because the carburetor was dirty. When I asked my father if he could drag me to the next workshop, he came with a self -help book the following day. I got the carburetor up and running again as much as the car. Happened a lot of fun and you learned a lot.

    A battery that is only for driving, a battery for starting. There are many comments from people who have neither an electric car or never want one. If you want to talk badly an electric car, you can start at the price or when you load. By the way, if you want to overtake an electric car in the spurt, you have to spend a lot more money in order to keep up with an explosion engine.

    That other types of drive (must) come can be assumed safely. But the battery technology for cars is a dead end as an energy source. Eight (8) years of amortization to pull the same with a diesel is probably not an alternative. And with new buildings, no charging stations are still approved in underground garages. All of this at around 40 million cars. Is no longer considered at all?
