Dodge Nitro: Wall wall with character

The nitro is driven by a little explosive diesel engine. It comes from the Italian supplier VM, has four cylinders, 2.8 liters of displacement, 177 hp and a maximum torque of 410 Newton meters that are powerful. The paper values read well: only 10.5 seconds should need the two -month for the sprint from zero to 100 km/h, make a maximum of 182 km/h. But now the cabinet wall aerodynamics mentioned above comes into play and the 5-speed automatic automatic system built into the test car. Although it works gently, it reacts very sluggishly and destroys any driving dynamics. The desire for high motorway speeds are hidden by the high consumption and the very easy and inaccurate steering.
It goes best in a species -appropriate manner
The nitro doesn’t like it quickly, he just comes from the USA. The nitro is then very well suited for the chests of drawing cruises despite the somewhat pouring rear axle (rigid axle). Thanks to the long travel and switchable all -wheel drive, it can also be used. And if you conduct cool, you finally leave the eternally changing automatic and the diesel engine at higher speeds. Likewise, the equally tolerable everyday consumption of an average of around 10.5 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers. The spongy steering feeling can even be transferred with dark sunglasses on the nose and deep into the forehead as a typical feature of a "real Ami sled".
Typical "Ami" is also the price, and that is the good news: the entry begins at 27 390 euros for the SE version with a hand switch, air conditioning and MP3-capable DVD radio. In the sxt equipment we have driven with, among other things, the nitro 34 890 euros costs, among other things, the nitro 34 890 euros costs as much as a comparable Kia Sorento , Hyundai Santa Fe or Mitsubishi Outlander. If you don’t know what these Asia Suvs look straight away, you can experience the main argument for the Dodge: the nitro is unmistakable.

  1. driven at all?
Sometimes I really wonder if these so -called "journalists" The said vehicles … also really driven. Just always those of the Germans "Top" Press high -praised German brands are absolutely overpriced. Provide for more money or even a lot less than this model. In any case, I like to get into my nitro from my S-Class business cars!!!!

  2. I have him!
The report is O.K. I drive the nitro now for almost a year and have to say: Auto emoci n! You don’t buy a nitro for reasons of reason, but out of enthusiasm! Enthusiasm about that "Face in the crowd", The eyes of passers-by on the roadside, because cool cruiser feeling! Finally again "automobile", No round-suck aerodynamic drops!

  3. Not so bad
Have a nitro 4 for a day.0R/t, which is not officially available in D, driven as an initial vehicle for my defective jeep commander. The car was a lot of fun on the mountainous country roads. The surprise: Despite well over 200 hp, which I also used, only 11.5 l/100km. But does not change the fact that nobody needs such a car. Now I’m driving a German premium product with SoftTouch Cockpit instead of hard plastic. It cost significantly more with significantly poorer equipment, no less consumes (although no all -wheel drive and less performance) and rattles and gives you at all corners and corner.

  4. Why so expensive
If you take a look on the dodge side, the car costs 20.000 USD, with special equipment a little more. Why does the part in Germany cost approx. twice as much?
