At the Geneva Auto Salon, Bugatti lights a new fuel level of the series hyper sports car: the Veyron successor Chiron races with a crazy 1103 kW / 1500 hp across the street. In 2.5 seconds to 100 km/h
Bugatti predicts a sprint from zero to 100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds, after less than 6.5 seconds the 200 km/h mark falls and the 300 km/h is reached at around 13.6 seconds. But don’t worry: According to Bugatti, there is even more than 420 apart from regular roads. So a speed world record will soon fall again. In so-called handling mode, i.e. when it comes to a curve, the electronics push the automotive storm and penetrated a stop at 380 km/h.
High-turbo
Such values are of course no coincidence: the eight-liter W16 engine now has a register load, consisting of four turbochargers and 32 injectors. In order to avoid the turbo boloch at low speeds, only two turbochargers are active when starting, from around 3800 revolutions the other two loaders are involved in the propulsion project. The power of the engine is breathtaking: JEDE Minute sets the engine 60.000 liters of air around And during the same period, a pump chased 800 liters of water through the coolant circuit. It is switched with a seven-speed double clutch transmission.
