Mercedes C-Class replaces VW Passat
Daimler The Mercedes C-Class is the most popular mid-range model
Premium is back in. After the upper and upper middle class, the middle class is now once again firm in the hands of the German noble manufacturers. Instead of VW, the most popular model now comes from Mercedes.
Two leadership changes shows the car bestseller list for June. The Mercedes C-Class displaced with 8.756 New registrations The previous year’s leader VW Passat as Germany’s most popular mid -range model. In the upper class, the BMW 7er passed the Mercedes CLS with 542 units.
According to the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), there were no changes in the remaining car classes. The most popular small car was again the Smart Fortwo with 2.988 new registrations, in the small car the Polo with 8 remained 8.402 units number one. Master -selling compact model and the best -selling car, as usual, was the VW Golf with 21.388 new registrations.
In the upper middle class, the BMW 5er again reached the pole position (5.041 new registrations), in the VW Tiguan off -road vehicles (3.353). The Mercedes E-Class Coupe of the greatest encouragement was enjoyed by the sports car buyers (1.158), in the mini vans of the Opel Meriva (4.152). The VW Touran led the list of the most sought-after large-scale vans (4.931), the group brother VW Caddy reached the top position at the Utilities (3.876). The Fiat Ducato stayed unrivaled in the motorhome base vehicles (1.605), who also holds the top value in the bestseller list with a 70 percent market share.
