Technically, the 4.70 meter long KIA EV6 is closely related to the 4.63 meter long Hyundai Ioniq 5, with which it shares much more than the new E-GMP electrical platform. Like the Porsche Taycan, the Korean works with a voltage of 800 instead of 400 volts as usual. Among other things, this ensures significantly faster loading times. The batteries are to be loaded from ten to 80 percent within 20 minutes, with a loading time of five minutes the Ioniq is supposed to go 100 kilometers away.

As an extra, Hyundai offers a solar roof that produces additional range – albeit calculated for the whole year – under optimal conditions over 1500 kilometers. There is also the possibility for bidirectional charging. The Ioniq 5 does not feed in the power grid, but gives electricity to another car or an electrical device or an electrical device. In other words, electrical drills, notebooks or the like can be operated on the ioniq on the side network of the IoniQ.

Hyundai success also shows VW weakness

The German Car of the Year Award is awarded by Germany’s leading car journalists, it is independent of manufacturer and is supported by the supplier ZF. In addition to classic criteria such as driving performance, comfort, price performance, design or efficiency, the significance of a model is also a valuation criterion. After the Jaguar I-Pace (2019) and the Porsche Taycan (2020), another electric car is at the top of the podium. While the four-door electric coupe Audi Etron GT made it into a closer selection and was able to win a single price, it did not make a single VW model in the top five-neither as a combustion engineer nor as an electrical version.

How do you do this in your carbon firing if the dishes are prepared? Delete the charcoal and continue to use the rest at the next dish or let the energy fizzle out unused (efficiency: 0%)? I just switch off the electric locomotive. Ah I know you know the precisely required amount of energy in advance and only cheer on as much coal, right?

  4. A clap for VW,
So a German car will surely get angry with Mr. Feddermann. Hyundai rightly won here, the Ioniq is simply better thought out. But that doesn’t mean that the ID is bad. The customer alone decides.

  5. That’s right, Mr. Harper
This can be admitted to Tesla and Mr. Musk. He got the swivel towards Elektro out with Tesla. There would be through the established "old" Manufacturer doesn’t happen much for a long time. I see it the same way. In this respect, actually good that Tesla exists, I mean without irony.

  6. Hyundai ioniq 5 car of the year…
…For the people who can afford it. If you want to reach the name almost with this model, you end up at 60,000 euros, before premium. As I said, certainly a car for Ottonian consumers.

  7. Deservedly won
Admittedly, I do not have any of these vehicles, nor is I only one of them test drive. So my opinion is based exclusively on the pursuit of test reports of various formats on a wide variety of platforms – out of interest. With regard to innovation, technology, quality and zeitgeist, Hyundai brought this vehicle onto the market at an early stage at a (in comparison) unrivaled price. The ID3, on the other hand, seems to be silent like the counter -draft, of the problems with (and to planned) market launch… What the German manufacturers lack: courage. The same drops are always sucked off (which interests, interestingly, increases); How do you want to win new buyers in today’s extroverted world?

  8. You can see how bad…
The German competition is. In terms of efficiency, the Hyundai is not that great. Here, too. This is at the expense of the range. The fact that the vehicle has nevertheless won the title shows that it is superior in many other areas (especially the loading speed) of the products of the competitors.

And why is only the German competition bad? If I see it right, Tesla did not cut better, it wasn’t true. But I also believe that the Hyundai Ionic 5 rightly won this award. A well -made car.

Who chooses again ? Logical that z. ZT. The electric cars win everything, everything else does not fit the general picture. That VW has no chance here, logical. From the interior alone, these are worlds. I can’t judge the rest. I was sitting in the eiiii3, not driven. The quality and feel inside is very "special". "..extremely cheap…" I didn’t want to write
