Around 9.500 pre-orderers have already decided for the sion of Sono Motors. And that already before the final serial design was known. But this now changes. Because Sono Motors admitted that the series design of the Sion is now. In this case, the full-surface integration of the solar modules into the body, a design-defining unique selling point of the vehicle.

For 25.500 euros comes the e-car of the Munich start-ups on the street. We remember: The 35 kWh battery of the Sion was first with 4.000 Euro priced, has now on 9.500 euros increased. If you add this with the sion from 16.000 Euro – optionally with buying, leasing or rental battery – increases the total price of 20.000 Euro to 25.500 euro.

For this you get an electric car powered by a 120 kW (164 hp) strong electric motor and comes with its 35 kWh battery packs on a good 250 kilometers purely electric range. The maximum solar range already mentioned is 34 kilometers. The maximum speed is given with 140 km / h. Interesting is certainly the fact that the Son of Sono Motors has a trailer hitch (optional).

The series version gets bigger, longer and wider

In the dimensions grows the sion. He gets bigger, longer and wider, emphasizes the vehicle shoulder and acts overall stretched. The serial version of the Solar Electric Vehicle (SEV) and innovative 5-door gets more footwell and again more interior. An additional rear side window guarantees an ideal all-round view.

Also, the rear of the vehicle is now a more schgrower and acts in combination with the novel LED taillights design three-dimensional. The design is not only the spring of Sono Motors. On the contrary, the reservations of the Sion about community voting has involved in the decision on selected vehicle details and thus completely new ways in vehicle development – a similar way also had Microlino chosen.

Sono Motors a CO₂-compensated electric car

With the Sion Sono Motors brings a CO₂-compensated electric car and the first production vehicle with solar integration on the market. The focus of the vehicle concept is connectivity and intelligent applications. The car has built-in sharing options, via an app, the vehicle itself, a ride and the bidirectional charging function can also be shared energy.

In the future, the Munich start-up plan on the basis of the Sion further vehicles. These should move in the areas of urban mobility, logistics and transport or load Mile, including for the international market.
