Mercedes-Benz GLA 220 CDI: This is how the late starter drives

  • Site author Stefan Grundhoff (Granada)

For a long time, Mercedes has been waiting with a compact SUV – and lost valuable martial components to competitors Audi and BMW. Now the late bloomer competes and should do everything better than the others. But what can he really do? The first test.

The Mercedes GLA has hot months ahead of it. He has to roll up the field of the middle and compact class SUV with a powerful deficit from behind. Audi Q3, BMW X1 and VW Tiguan have successfully divided the SUV cake together with success models such as Toyota Rav4 or Nissan Qashqai for years. A big task, but Daimler has come up with a lot. The GLA is more than other SUVs from its weaknesses: it does not want to be a all -purpose weapon that everyone likes, but a fresh alternative. The first driving report shows whether this works.

Fans and drivers of real off -road vehicles will hit the Sxhel… This is … Fans and drivers of real off -road vehicles will hit the Sxhel… This gap in the market is ridiculous. The Golf2 was sold as all -wheel drive and unfortunately has not been accepted. Suzuki builds small, inexpensive off -roaders. If ick ick the GLA here for test purposes over a gravel gap hunting that my car has been completing for years you want to follow the car afterwards "down" inspect…. SUV Sucks!

It goes through optically, but what kind of prices are they? With all -wheel drive and a clever engine, he should hardly find any buyers, because simply and simply too expensive. In this way, it is ended as a higher compact with front -wheel drive for the well -heeled oldies. Or just as a rental model for the Daimler employees.

  3. Conclusion …
The car is small and too expensive. Once again Mercedes managed to build a car against customers. The GLK is angular and ugly, the GLA quite pretty but too tight, there are more SUVs that offer more for significantly less.

  4. For such a cramped compact car is…
…The price simply a joke. 50 dde for such a bowl are abnormal. It is better to look around the Koreans.

  5. OK…….
So I get a reasonably equipped one here "Entry-level SUV" For almost 50 ´ €. If the space is similar to in the A-Class with space sticks included. I like to drive Mercedes, but only used because of this nonsense. So….. NO! My experience: tried to give a used one with guarantee for a new one in payment. I was offered 20% less than the competition. So much the gentlemen keep their own products. Pity!
