FAZ dares a look at the infrastructure for electric cars-cars

The FAZ describes in a current article electric cars as hip and correctly recognizes that they need a regular energy supply. Currently, this is more difficult without a nationwide charging infrastructure and the e-cars curves further in the niche. So far so good.

At the beginning of the article one goes on the development in the field of e-cars. Once again everything starts with the Roadster of Tesla in 2008, based on a Lotus sports car, which caused a stir even nine years ago. Because at the latest since then it is clear: E-cars “can be nice, fast and cool – and they are politically correct”. In Germany, however, the development has never been so true, well, maybe since mid-2016 a little, but there is still a lot to achieve the “for 2020 issued a million such vehicles on Germany’s streets”. Meanwhile, you even add plug-in hybrids to achieve this number. Good two and a half years before the end of the fixed period, but still missing 800.000 vehicles with alternative drive.

Like already on electric car news.Net mentions, even the environmental bonus introduced in the summer of 2016, not that significantly more e-vehicles or hybrid cars are deposited. The current interim balance from February 2017 is currently disregarding:

“Since the beginning of the electric car purchase bonus were now 7.107 applications for pure E vehicles (4.000 Euro premium) and 5.540 applications for hybrid vehicles (3.000 Euro). The applications for electric vehicles with fuel cell (4.000 Euro premium) can still count on one source with a total number of three vehicles.”

The causes of the missing paragraph of the E-cars are manifold. This is how it is missing on the one hand on the nationwide charging infrastructure for E-cars. As well as at the attractive prices for E vehicles itself. At least in the charging infrastructure something seems to be done, because since the 01.03.In 2017, municipalities and private investors can apply for the covenant to build charging columns for e-cars. In a relatively short time, 600 applications have been received so far, which corresponds to a funding volume of 43 million euros as well as a total investment of 114 million euros. Further information is available in this post.

Especially in big cities, not only the charging infrastructure is a problem, but generally the place. Because especially in cities like Frankfurt, Hamburg or Berlin you will gladly find a parking lot on his on the roadside. How realistic is the chance that you can still load your electric car there?

“Even if he managed to connect its car with the domestic socket by cable drum, he would have to risk the delicate construction at ordinary 220 volt socket about eight hours. If one now introduces that all inhabitants of a larger tenant wanted to proceed in the same way, opposite, where the weaknesses of e-mobility are.”

Nonetheless, it is positive that something moves at a variety of places when it comes to electromobility. Maybe this broad list helps, at various priorities that the goal of the Federal Government is still achieved. If not 2020, then maybe at least a few years later.
