GT variant with 3.7-second sprint and 500 km range can be ordered from today
Ford announces the price for the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT: The top model of the all-electric series costs 72,900 euros. This Monday morning, the version was not yet included in the configurator, but you can now order the car online this afternoon.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin this year.
With the Mustang Mach-E So far, decide between the version with rear-wheel drive and the AWD version, now the GT has been added, but it also has all-wheel drive.
Then you have to choose between Standard Range (SR) and Extended Range (ER), while the GT is only available with an Extended Range battery. There are five versions in total:
Battery gross / WLTP range | Performance / 0-100 km / h | price | |
Mustang Mach-E SR | 76 kWh / 440 km | 198 kW / 6.9 sec. | 46,900 euros |
Mustang Mach-E ER | 99 kWh / 610 km | 216 kW / 7.0 sec. | 54,750 euros |
Mustang Mach-E AWD SR | 76 kWh / 400 km | 198 kW / 6.3 sec. | 54,750 euros |
Mustang Mach-E AWD ER | 99 kWh / 540 km | 258 kW / 5.8 sec. | 63,700 euros |
Mustang Mach-E ER AWD GT | 99 kWh / 500 km | 358 kW / 3.7 sec. | 72,900 euros |
The GT will not be available in the only surcharge-free color "Iridium Black Mica" until autumn, which is why an extra charge of 1,200 euros has to be paid at the moment. In addition, until autumn the car can only be ordered with a panoramic roof (1,000 euros). Therefore you don't get below a list price of 75,100 euros in the configurator.
According to Ford, the Mustang Mach-E is listed with the net list price of the basic version at the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA). This means that all versions of the Mustang Mach-E – including the Mustang Mach-E GT – are eligible for funding.
In the GT, two electric motors provide all-wheel drive. A permanently excited synchronous machine (PSM) works at the rear; Ford does not provide any information on the type of engine on the front axle. At 860 Newton meters, the torque exceeds all previous series models from Ford in Europe. With 358 kW, the GT is also significantly more powerful than the AWD ER version.
The top model is over two seconds faster in the 100 km / h sprint. The GT does this in 3.7 seconds – albeit with a roll start, which means that it does not start at exactly 0 km / h, but a little higher, similar to the Tesla Model S Plaid. A sprint time of 4.4 seconds is displayed in the configurator. This is the sprint without roll start, as the Ford press department explained to us on request.

The extended-range battery has a usable capacity of 88 kilowatt hours, which is 99 kWh gross. In the WLTP cycle, this results in a range of 500 kilometers. It is charged with up to 150 kW. This should be able to charge electricity for a further 99 kilometers in ten minutes. The charging process from ten to 80 percent takes 45 minutes.
In addition to the Tame, Active and Untamed modes that can be selected for all Mach-E, you can also choose the Untamed extended driving mode (only permitted on the racetrack) with the GT. The GT also offers the adaptive MagneRide chassis (in which the viscosity of the hydraulic fluid in the shock absorbers can be changed using magnetic fields) and Brembo brakes as standard. The drivetrain is also more strongly emphasized on the rear than in the other Mach-E all-wheel-drive versions – supported by special tires to bring the extreme torque to the road.
Sports seats and a vertical 15.5-inch touchscreen are standard on the inside. The sensor-controlled tailgate gives access to the trunk with a capacity of up to 1,420 liters. The standard equipment also includes assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, a lane departure warning, a blind spot assistant and more.
With the GT, all announced versions of the Mustang Mach-E are now on the market. When it comes to purely electric cars, Ford only has e-transit, in addition there is the F-150 Lightning in the USA. But Ford's electrification plans are quite ambitious. What was new for us was that from mid-2026 Ford will only offer electric cars and plug-in hybrids:
"With the market debut of the Mustang Mach-E, we have taken a giant step on our way to only offering purely electric cars or cars powered by plug-in hybrid technology in every model series by mid-2026 at the latest." (This Woelpern, Senior Manager at Ford Europe for Import Vehicles)
It was already known that Ford would only offer pure electric cars from 2030. But there is still a long way to go: Of 14 car series, only one is electric so far – that of the Mustang Mach-E. Ford's next steps include a car on VW's MEB platform, and a fully electric version of the Custom. Both are not to be built until 2023.
