Diesel and petrol eleven percent more expensive than a year ago

Petrol and diesel are currently 11.2 percent more expensive than a year ago. Overall, the car costs rose by 4.2 percent and thus twice as fast as the general living costs, the ADAC calculated.

After a long price decline, drivers now have to pay 3.3 percent more for vehicle insurance, 2.9 percent more for spare parts and accessories.
In contrast, the car companies were reluctant to buy new cars with an increase of 0.3 percent stable. The workshops also increased the prices for repairs and inspections only by 1.5 percent and thus remained significantly under the increase in general living costs. Driving school prices and driver’s license fees rose by 1.4 percent.
The car cost index, which the ADAC publishes quarterly together with the Federal Statistical Office, is now 116.2 points, the lifestyle index is 110.3 points. The initial value was 100 points each in 2005.
Other experts expect a further short -term increase in the fuel prices at travel time during the Easter holidays.

    How high the price has increased compared to the previous year. We can then find that the mineral oil industry took advantage of the tensions in North Africa to approx. 20 % price increase to rip off.
