In 2021 there was the gasoline price shock and a new catalog of fines – but at least it was "Fahrbits-hammer" defused. Michael Haberland from the automobile club "Mobile in Germany" pulls his personal car balance 2021 for site.
A new CO2 tax makes petrol and diesel expensive, whoever flashes has been paying significantly higher fines since November – 2021 was once again an expensive year for drivers. There was a new IAA with a fresh concept for this. The speed limit is also spared auto fans. Michael Haberland, President of the Auto Club "Mobile in Germany", draws his personal conclusion for 2021 in a guest commentary for Site.

"E-fuel is the future"
… says Mr. Automobil Club President. And also refers to the coalition agreement … The traffic lights in which (after 2035) "demonstrably can only be re-approved with e-fueled vehicles" can be re-approved ". I bet against it. In the car sector, e-fuel has no future in addition to a few niche applications. Why, everyone can read in the specialist literature, z.B. In the brand new E&T study of 12/21: E-fuel is not harmful to harmful substances. They emit as much poisonous nox as fossil fuel. Your use is not climate -neutral. During the combustion, the greenhouse gases methane (CH4) & Lachgas (N2O), are more harmful than CO2. Because of their elaborate production, e-fuel is far too expensive. They cannot be produced in the quantities used for cars.
"E-fuel is the future"
An automotive club president who says that has little or no idea. Transport & Environment has just published the 52 page study "Magic Green Fuels". Results: 1. E-fuel is not a clean fuel. They emit as much poisonous nox as gasoline. 2. Your use in cars is not climate -neutral. During the combustion, methane (CH4) & Lachgas (N2O), both are even more climate -damaged than CO2. 3. E-fuel is far too expensive. Even with the most optimistic assumptions for their price in 2030, a combustion engine with e-fuel would be operated on 5 J. Calculated its owner by 10.Leave 000 € worse than a BEV owner. 4. It is not feasible to produce enough electric fuel for the existing car fleet in the EU. Conclusion: E-fuel is a schnapps idea without a future.
You even know where to start
The cities die without a car? As a Frankfurter, I have known the argument since then and the area has also been closed to cars and the area before the main guard has also been closed for a few years. Strangely enough, the goal and food gass is greater sales and more popular than Berger and Schweizer Strabe. Close sidewalks and parked is not good for sales. Petrol is too expensive? This is a topic at the regulars’ table, but take a look at – larger faster – so nobody pays consumption in the new car. So it can’t be that bad. Biosprit? Already today the cheap E10 is like Sauerbier in the petrol station. Who would recharge your E100? Speed limit? Not about the dead questions. Again and again you are in the traffic jam because a deep pilot lies around with sheet metal damage
Fuel prices
Anyone who buys a new car from the same vehicle class today almost always gets a car that less (!) Fuel consumed. Be it through hybrid technology or through newer engine technology, etc.
