Hennessey “Project Deep Space”: E-Hyper-GT with six-wheel drive

Hennessey, a Texas-based maker of hypercars and high-performance vehicles, is set to launch what is arguably the world’s most expensive electric car in the next decade. Codenamed “Project Deep Space”, this is the first all-electric Hyper-GT with six-wheel drive. It starts at $3 million. The luxurious grand tourer offers space for four adults and four sets of golf clubs plus luggage.

But you don’t have to forego performance and speed because of comfort and luxury. The car, thanks to its unique six-wheel drivetrain, will be “crushingly fast and have unrivaled traction.”. With a 50% increase in ground liability compared to conventional four-wheeled vehicles, the performance of the Hennessey Hyper-GT will be absolutely amazing how to understand the company.

Hennessey has spent more than 30 years building some of the fastest and most exciting vehicles in the world. We’ll continue with that mantra for the next 30 years by introducing the world’s first fully electrified six-wheel drive Hyper-GT. We believe that with six electric motors combined with six powered wheels, the ‘Deep Space’ could be the fastest four-seater in the world, accelerating from zero to 200 mph!—John Hennessey, CEO and Founder of Hennessey

Looking ahead to the high-performance Stromer, the company makes it clear that the interior is based on an innovative, diamond-shaped seating arrangement with the driver in the middle. Two passengers then sit sideways and slightly set back from the driver. The fourth passenger sitting directly behind the driver will take the world’s first VVIP (Very Very Important Person) seat in the car and thus bring the luxury of private jet class into the Hyper-GT world. The 100% redesigned “Project Deep Space” will feature an ultra-lightweight carbon fiber chassis and body panels, as well as dramatic gullwing doors.

“In Project Deep Space we captured the essence of early 20th-century grand tourers. Century fused with an exceptional Hyper GT shape that leaves no doubt as to its capabilities and intentions,” says Nathan Malinick, Hennessey Director of Design. Malinick goes on to say that the design will turn the concept of EV hypercars on its head, while also living the design philosophy of the “art of reduction”.

“I’ve been building some of the fastest vehicles in the world for decades, but they’ve always been limited in performance by mechanical grip. The electric drive on six wheels is the solution. The technology is unprecedented in this segment – both forward-looking and innovative. Our design and development team is looking forward to shaping the future,” says John Hennessey about the first electric vehicle from their house.

The electric Hyper GT is manufactured in the state-of-the-art production facility in Sealy, Texas,. For the development and production of the vehicle, technology partners such as Shell Pennzoil and Delta Cosworth will be used in the area of the powertrain. Carlos Maurer, EVP of Sectors & Decarbonization at Shell, is positive about the project: “It is clear that electric vehicles will play an increasingly important role in mobility. Our collaboration with Hennessey will provide us with an extreme testing ground to develop our own innovative fluids and lubricants as we strive to be at the forefront of this transition to a lower carbon future.”

The ‘Project Deep Space’ is part of the strategic 10-year product plan of Hennessey. The electric hyper-GT designed for Grand Touring should follow the production of sold-out Venom F5 Coupes – the 1.817 HP strong hypercar-ten fighters of the company. Complete specifications are sometimes out. It is only known that it is priced from three million euros and only 105 copies worldwide, from 2026.

  1. Well, if now even an American tuner goes to the development of its own electric car, it is suggested that he transfers its main business in the medium term, namely combustion vehicles from the rod to reduce electric cars on electric cars. That would certainly be interesting if you have his ID.4 to bring to Hennessey to z.B. To install a battery extension and performance enhancement.
