High electricity prices in Germany brakes electric cars-electricity

Due to high electricity prices in Germany, electric cars in this country are most difficult to pay for their high acquisition costs over the years. According to an evaluation of the management consultancy Horvath & Partners, the spending on driving current in Germany is average 7.70 euros for 100 kilometers. One kilowatt-hour electricity costs average in Germany ahead of 30 cents, even in 2001 it was only 13.5 cents. At our European partners are the electricity costs for 100 kilometers on average currently only at 4.40 euros. Chinese pay for 100 electrical kilometers even only 1.90 euros.

Although electric cars have an advantage over gasoline and dieseling, thanks to significantly lower costs for maintenance and wear, which lies in the range between 60 and 80 percent. Because of the high consumption costs, however, this advantage is shrinking. “If in Germany, the high electricity costs for mobility do not decline, consumers lack a priced incentive to switch to an electric car,” says Dietmar Voggenreiter, Partner at Horvath & Partners and in an earlier position at Audi for the Chinese market, Written the study with Georg Mrusek. The construction of its own cell production for electric car batteries in Germany is not useful in the current electric mix of cost and climate gangs, so voggenreiter.

At public charging columns, electric car drivers have to accept even higher prices. On fast load columns, it is partly a good 50 cents for a kilowatt hour – FLOTTES charge will be quickly at the cost trap.

Finds Voggenreiter, Germany is not optimally prepared for electromobility due to the high electricity prices and the high coal flow content and thus quite climate-damaging current mixes on the electromobility. Nevertheless, a “steep increase” of the new registrations of electric cars is imminent, “which will lead to a sale of at least one million streams and a market share between 35 and 40 percent by 2030,” says Voggenreiter. By 2035, Horvath & Partners should have electric drive after each second vehicle approved in Europe.

Voggenreiter even goes off even far more numbers: “Most of the car fleet is operated as a battery vehicle,” because the EU becomes narrower with the years the CO2 limits. It’s not different because: “The situation, climate change, is crushing,” says Voggenreiter. However, only with lower electricity costs can be created another, important incentive for customers to embrace an expensive electric car. An alternative to electric cars to reduce climate-damaging CO2 emissions, but will not exist as fast as the analysis of the management consultancy.

Even worse, cost and climate balance are off when the vehicle is operated with hydrogen or e-fuels, so Horvath & Partners. In a holistic view of fuel cell cars, the efficiency is only a good third of that of a pure electric car: of 100 kWh regeneratively generated electricity ends only about a quarter of the energy on the wheel, quoted Edison out of the stude. For e-Fuels, the energy balance is even worse because the synthetic fuel has to be expensive to generate with the help of regenerative energy. To operate a vehicle with e-fuels, the fourfold amount of battery cars are needed.

  1. An incentive for those who.B in a family house living, install a solar system (maybe on a carport), and your electric car to load it. Also an incentive to buy the sion of sonomotors.

  2. Correctly the purchase of a pure stromer is still expensive and the environmental premium a nice incentive! My Hyundaiioniq Electric consumes approx. 14 kWh at 100 km with normal driving and a lot of short distance. A 0,35 € at Maingau gives Max. 4,90 € / 100 km Unless I use the free loads at Kaufland, IKEA and CO. with green stream. For this the favorable maintenance and wear costs. I have not regretted my change from the burner!

  3. Hmm .. 7,70 € per 100km at 0.30 € per kWh electricity costs? That would be 25 kWh / 100 km consumption. I hold for extremely high.

    In addition, CHECK24 shows eco trip prices from € 0.24 per kWh.

    I come to my stream of flotter driving style and incl. Loading loss to 4,40 € at 100 km.

  4. Finally, the problem of high electricity prices is discussed in Dl times!
    Unfortunately, the EEG apportionment must also be paid to “green” generated electricity (currently 6.4 ct / kWh).
    Why?
    If you would free eco flow from the EEG surcharge, then this would be cheaper for consumers in the price already cheaper than Z.E.g. Electricity from lignite.
    Ultimately, incentives work to live environmentally friendly, only about the price.
    The few idealists who like to pay higher prices for green electricity will not bring about a fundamental turn.

  5. A good e car needs around 14 kWh per 100 km. and not 66. In Switzerland you pay about 0.1 fr. and at least twice for 1 kWh. So only about half as much as for Germany.This shows that a real competition with the charging columns is not yet taking place. The competitors are amortized roof PV plants and of course the Phevs (rechargeable hybrids) cars do not need charging columns. Consequently, Z. Sometimes. these two systems are forced . Let’s wait if the prices on the column do not come down …….

  6. Which the stream of charging columns is cheaper is rather unlikely!
    None in politics is dealing with the EEG surcharge. It is such a nice wheel that hardly a consumer actively perceives. So why about it ..

    It has already been addressed here a lot of good.

    The diesel should not be subsidized immediately D.H. full taxation. Then the Diesle lives off tomorrow only for drivers who need a car for Ultralaaaaanglecke. Everything under 50.000 km per year is uneconomical or. The diesel drivers pay about 1/3 on it opposite a gasoline ..

    For eco flow now no EEG surcharge more – saves around 6.5 ct ..

    Strengthening electricity to charging columns Only with VAT – delete all other taxes and duties! This makes electricity on the charging column cheaper than @ home! &# 128521;

    Inner cities for burning evacuated car license plate block or. be retracted against a city fee. 12 euros per day would be ok. But please p&Build R seats to the city councils so that the commuters and visitors can still come into our beautiful cities – per public transport sees itself.

    Oh yes, and charging points are only intended for loading and not to park for free of his BEV SUV!!! A BEV without charging or. If full is full, it is like a burner to join for a chargeable charges (in HH for CA. 370 euros). Possibly. is also a point in fl for this inappropriate. 8 ticket. Towing and each one point – and already there is an OPNV user – for mind. 1 year – more!!! &# 128521;

    Yes, everything sounds really oblique!
    But in Germany, where the trend of selfishness becomes increasingly popular, pure commandments will not be enough to make the cities for the residents again liveable / healthier.

    … If I read this yourself so, I’m scared soon a “green” ..! &# 128578;
