The Electrical CUV Hyundai Ioniq 5, the first model of the new sub-brand IoniQ, with the ELECTRIC-GLOBAL modular platform (E-GMP) and 800 volt technology developed by Hyundai for this purpose, celebrated its world premiere at the end of February 2021. For the Ioniq 5, in his “standard version” even over 236.000 expressions of interest received within four days. Since the end of March, there are now also the official prices for the power of Hyundai.

Already from May, the first customers who have pre-ordered an IoniQ 5 pre-ordered with the limited Project 45 package, their vehicle. The other variants of the electrical CUV, which can now be configured on the homepage of Hyundai, are from summer at the dealers. The customer has the choice between several electric drive and battery configurations. Below we have a look at the different variants.

The entry variant from 41.900 Euro combines a 58 kWh battery with a 125 kW / 170 hp electric motor on the rear axle. Also equipped with the 58 kWh battery is the Ioniq 5 with 173 kW / 235 hp and four-wheel drive from 45.700 euro. The larger battery with 72.6 kWh storage capacity also offers Hyundai in the IoniQ 5 in two versions: The rear-wheel drive model makes 160 kW / 217 hp and is available from 45.100 euros available. Top model is the Ioniq 5 with four-wheel drive and 225 kW / 305 hp from 48.900 euros.

As the manufacturer to understand belongs to the standard equipment of all Hyundai Ioniq 5 full-led headlights, LED taillights, 19-inch alloy wheels, two 12.25 inch screens for the cockpit and the navigation system, the Hyundai telematics system BlueLink®, a reversing camera, heated front seats, a slidable rear seat and extensive security systems, including an adaptive speed control system and intelligent traffic sign recognition.

Furthermore, as a customer, you have the choice between the three equipment packages Dynamiq, TechniQ and UNIQ. Customers of the Hyundai IoniQ 5 can also choose a total of nine outdoor colors, including five of nature, new shades, as well as two options with matt finish. The Hyundai IoniQ 5 is fully eligible within the framework of the innovation premium of the Federal Office for Economics and Export Control (BAFA). Together with the Hyundai manufacturer’s share, the purchase price is reduced by 9.570 euros, so that for customers an entry-level price of 32.330 euros results.
