1. Life and let die (1973)
With this film, a very long Aston Martin-Lose time began for the smart secret agent-now mented by Roger Moore. In Moore’s first film, 007 does not even have a real company car, the film became known for the spectacular motorboat persecution hunts. In a sleek glass tron 150 GT rest bond through the swamps of Lousiana and even jump over a few cars.
Mini Rare mini classic: The Mini Moke remained an exotic
In his fight against Voodoo cult and the gangster boss Kananga, Bond drives one in a short scene Mini Moke, The British fun mobile, he also curves in one 1963 Chevrolet Impala Cabriolet through the area. The most unusual vehicles have to hijack itself: a classic one Leyland R.T.-double-decker bus.

As a bond with his female companion Solitaire on the fictitious Caribbean island of San Monique, the old double -decker bus hijacks, public passenger transport gets a rapid note. Bond shakes the police on their motorcycles and their Chevrolet Novas effortlessly, the high double-decker bus even performs a spectacular 180-degree turn. At the Stunts, the real driver of the London transport company helped. To crown the chase, bond races under a low bridge, with the entire top of the bus being torn down and ending up as an obstacle to the persecuting patrol cars on the street.

At the beginning of the film, 007 travels across the big pond to New York, where he has to compete against a Horde Gangster in Harlem. Chevrolet sponsored various cars for "life and dying", the film is teeming with taxis, police cars and civil cars of this brand. However, the most fascinating car is that Corvorado, In which a gangster used by a poisoned dart arrow in the outer mirror, a murder attack on Bond. The Corvorado was a mixture of Cadillac Eldorado (body) and Corvette (chassis). He was put on the bikes by the crazy tuner Les Dunham.

2. The man with the Golden Colt (1974)
In this strip, Bond is hunted by professional killer Scaramanga (Christopher Lee), who wants to hunt a golden ball in his heart. Once again, there is only one unofficial company car for 007 (Roger Moore), which he quickly steals directly from the shop window of a car dealer in Bangkok. Of the AMC HORNET Is a sporty -sporty Coupe from American Motors (AMC) – a car manufacturer that was swallowed by Chrysler in 1987.

Even if the AMC is a rather inconspicuous car, the bond makers managed to do one of the most hair-raising stunts in film history. 007 races onto a destroyed wooden bridge and jumps over a river-in a 360 degree role. The car was provided with precisely balanced weights, which stunt tested several times before the film recordings. The flight behavior of the car was even calculated with a new computer program. Finally, the impressive cork puller jump with exactly 75.6 km/h on the first attempt.

The yellow is a nice sight MGB, which the secret service employee Mary Goodnight piloted. Since AMC supported the film, Bond’s opponent Scaramanga (Christopher Lee) drives one AMC Matador. In the end, the Matador can even fly when Scaramanga in a barn a specially made aircraft attachment on the car fixed hip. However, the flight scenes were rotated with models on different standards.
3. The spy that loved me (1977)
After all the improvised means of transportation on land, to water and in the air is now over: finally 007 (again Roger Moore) gets an official company car. Of the Lotus Esprit Was the most famous agent vehicle next to the Aston Martin DB5. In 1977 you could hardly stand out better than in an esprit.
lotus In 1976 the Lotus Esprit S1 achieved fame as a James Bond car. His specialty in the film was the integrated diving boat technology

Bond producer Albert R. Broccoli had discovered a prototype of the car that was parked in front of the Pinewood studio in London. And probably not quite by chance: Don Mclauchlan, marketing man at Lotus, hoped that the British wedge would be discovered as a canvas star. The calculation opened – a white painted Esprit wrote in "The spy who loved me" film history. The light British wedge had a four-cylinder engine with 160 hp, good for 210 km/h.

The submarine conversion is probably the most ingenious bond extrra of all time. In addition to four swivel propellers, a periscope and height rudder, the U-Lotus has a complete defense system including rockets and torpedoes on board. He can also throw off custody mines. At the rear, two nozzles are waiting behind the license plate, which spray ink – Bond confuses the enemy divers like an inkfish. But the British wedge also knows how to defend itself on land. There, the nozzles drying up to the windshield of a pursuer.

On the escape from the cradle of the megalomaniac Reeder Stromberg, Bond and Anya Amasova, Russian secret agent and played by supermodel Barbara Bach, are followed by a helicopter in the lotus. The jump from a pier into the sea is the only rescue. For this scene, a stunt car was accelerated with an air cannon. The surprise in the crystal-clear water: instead of going under for Queen and the fatherland, Bond turns the esprit into the submarine with a few button presses. The underwater scenes were rotated on the Bahamas. The film crew used both models and an original size effect vehicle, which was controlled by a diver inside.

At the beginning of the film, Bond travels to Egypt and is persecuted there by the "Bitere" (Richard Kiel), the famous villain with more than two meters of body size and the sharp-edged stainless steel bit. On the escape from the bite, Bond and his companion use a blue van of the type Leyland Sherpa. The vehicle itself is less memorable than what the biter does with it: he tears the car open like a sardine can and even raises it with his body powers at the rear so that he cannot drive away.

4. Moonraker (1979)
Bond fans are disappointed in this film: after the Lotus Esprit in "The Spy who loved me" 007 goes away empty-handed. Instead, he relies on unusual vehicles. In a chase through the Venice’s channels, his opponents raced in a tuned and with an entire arsenal with an entire arsenal gondola of that. The vehicle even has an air cushion, so that Bond can cruise over the Markusplatz after the work was done. Later he finds himself in a highly equipped motor boat in the Brazilian jungle.

In Rio de Janeiro, Bond gets into an ambulance as a prisoner. In the fight with a henchman of the bond counterpastier Hugo Drax, Bond falls and the criminal on the stretcher on the outpatient clinic on the street. Bond can escape, the gangster ends up in an advertising poster on the stretcher.
Getty Images Roger Moore was James Bond in the 1970s and 1980s – and was also considered a charming character in real life with a lot of humor and self -irony
In Rio des Janeiro, Bond is picked up by the beautiful agent Manuela, and she drives one MP Lafer. The little roadster was built in Brazil from 1974 to 1988 and was based on role models by Morgan and MG. The car was driven by a Volkswagen engine, the chassis even came in parts of the beetle. Nevertheless, the roadster with his fiberglass body was a sought-after car in Brazil.

5. In a fatal mission (1980)
This 007 strip is a real pearl for car fans and friends of the typical Roger Moore humor. After the automotive total failure in "Moonraker", Bond becomes a secret service tinker Q with a Lotus Esprit Turbo careful. With the car he even crosses through the Italian ski resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo, although there are probably more than a thousand more winter cars than the nervous British wedge with rear wheel drive. After all, the turbo lotus is really fast, for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h it does not need six seconds.
Getty Images For the James Bond Film "In a fatal mission" the Lotus Esprit Turbo was equipped with ski carriers
The Bond makers were allowed to use the personal turbo prototypes of the Lotus founder Colin Chapman to film on the island of Corfu. Another bond car is born out of pure need: on the run from Killers 007 can be easily done by Bond-Girl Melina Havelock in one Citroën 2cv take along. The squeaky yellow bond duck became legendary.
Press Inform In the film “In TOdliche Mission”, James has to switch to a Citroën 2CV in the meantime. The bond duck became so famous that the French even sold a special model with 007 logos (BILD: VIEHMANN)
The first Turbo Esprit in the film is white and has an unusual theft fuse. When a crook wants to steal the car and hit the side window, vibrating detectors C4 explosive packages let and blown cars with a crook to dust. Later q donates a copper -colored Esprit for the trip to Cortina d’Ampezzo. The lotus has no obvious weapons on board, but at least a cool extra – ski carrier at the rear.
The wild chase in the yellow duck is one of the highlights of the bond history. The weak ducker is from two Peugeot 504 Scovered through the mountain roads Corfus – the Greek island jumped as a double for a Spanish landscape. Despite all the sympathy for the duck, her 29 hp engine was not enough for the stunt scenes, she got a boxer engine with 54 hp and a roll bar.
dpa/Thomas Geiger Long -term runner: From 1968 to 37 years Peugeot built the 504.
It took almost two weeks for the chase to be chased by Corfus Olivehaine in the box. The duck has to suffer like an animal: it rattles through forest and hallway, it jumps over one of the Peugeot, it overturns and is put on the bikes by helpful villagers. And of course Bond, all of Gentleman, smiles friendly at the Peugeot 504 when they push each other past him. In the end, the gangsters land unharmed with their sedan, but forever out of the race in the top of a tree. The bond duck in turn became so popular that Citroën launched a special model "007" with stickers in the form of bullet holes.

By the way: also a German luxury sedan also plays in the film. The brutal killer Locque, who kills Italian secret service partner Ferrara in Cortina d’Ampezzo Bonds, drives one Mercedes 450 SEL. Towards the end of the film, the killer gets to the edge of a cliff while fleeing Bond, the Benz is now hanging on the silk thread. 007 does the rest with a courageous step against the passenger door, and Locque goes the path of all bond base weights. It was a difficult scene for Roger Moore, because he actually didn’t want to represent Bond so brutally. But director John Glen prevailed and 007 got a slight approach of the uncompromising hardness, which would shape Daniel Craig era decades later.
6. Never say (1983)
Hardcore 007 fans could now cry because this film is not part of the official James Bond Canon. However, a bitter right-wing dispute and a lot of money for the actual ex-bond Sean Connery led to this film, which was well received by the audience and has almost all the classic ingredients of a bond film. Except for the opening credits, which he naturally lacked as an unofficial part of the series. For the last time last time, Sean Connery slipped into the agent role here.

The film was a remake of the film "Fireball" from 1965. Here, too, a psychopathic villain named Largo (perfectly played by Klaus Maria Brandauer) for the criminal organization Spectre two nuclear missiles "Great reset" to create on the globe.Without a spectacular chase, of course, 007 does not go to bed any lady. In this case, a true femme fatale called Fatima Blush (Barbara Carrera) bond chased on his motorcycle through the surroundings of Nice. While 007 has a Yamaha XJ 650 under the agent miner, Fatima Blush skillfully pilots a Renault 5 Turbo.
Renault The Renault 5 Turbo from 1981
In real life, the car was famous in real life both as a braver small car and-in the Breitbau-Turbo version-as a rally floor. At the end, Bond is falling into the trap and sliding into a barred vault with his Yamaha. 007 only escapes the safe death because Blush forces him shortly before the planned execution to put a confession on paper: only with her bond had the best sex ever. Note to all female bond base weights: If you have Bond signed something, then never with your own fountain pen – he can shoot small grenades…By the way: In a small supporting role as a shotful embassy employee, the British cult comedian Rowan Atkinson appeared in the film, who was still unknown in 1983. It wasn’t until the 1990s that he started as "MR. Bean" through.
dpa The Scotsman Sean Connery played the Agent 007 in seven Bond films. Here he targets an opponent in "Never Never say" (1983).
7. Octopussy (1983)
This was the actual, official 007 strip of 1983. The plot plays in the middle of the Cold War High phase. The opening scene shows Bond (Roger Moore) in a dangerous use on a military base in an unspecified country in South America. 007 piloted one Range Rover Series 1, and as an open version. This range convertible was never in series, it was specially made for the film. In reality, there were still open special conversions of the British off-roader as a parade vehicle for the royal family.
The range itself has no weapons, but the horse trailer that is docked at it has it tough: the horse rearrangement protruding from the trailer proves to be artificial, behind it is a mini aircraft with fold-out wings. On the run from soldiers, Bond chases away in this Acrostar jet and even squeezes into centimeter work through the random doors of an aircraft hangar. Meanwhile, Bond-Girl Bianca is at the wheel of the Range Rover and brings the car to safety across the border. The scene was filmed with a real mini jet, with a dummy on a rod on the hangar scenes.

The hottest chase takes place in India this time, with a typical one Tuk tuk-taxi of the manufacturer Bajaj. Together with the Indian secret agent Vijay – played by tennis star Vijay Amritraj – 007 has to flee in the middle of the crowds of the Indian city of Udaipur from the bunnies of his opponent Kamal Khan. The tuk tuk is of course tuned, so that it can even drive on the rear wheels because of the drive force. For the scenes, several of the motorcycle rickshaws were converted, one achieved more than 110 km/h. Vijay shoots the pursuers, among other things, with tennis balls, a swipe at his real profession.

The end of the film takes place in Germany. Here Bond has to get to safety in front of the eager German police and organizes a quick one Alfa Romeo GTV 6. He is persecuted by two BMW 518i patrol car the German police, which the Bavarian carmaker made available to the filmmakers. The chase was shot in part in Germany, but some also in a fake village that was replaced as a backdrop in Great Britain. The aim of hunting is the fictional US military base Feldstadt – there a Russian general has an atomic bomb in its own "Octopussy"-Circus placed.

At the showdown of the film "borrowed", Bond quickly Mercedes 250 se his Russian opponent General Orlov. The heavy benz finally even lands on rails and tries as an improvised locomotive, but is taken to the horns by a real locomotive and catapulted into a pool. James Bond naturally brought himself to safety beforehand.

8th. In the face of death (1985)
Although this bond strip is one of the most car-heavy, 007 (Roger Moore in his last appearance as a smart secret agent) does not have an official company car this time. However, he can be stylishly in one by his friend Sir Godfrey Tibbett Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II chauffeur. The luxury slide almost goes with Bond Baden when his opponent Zorin (Christopher Walken) pushes the Rolls with the unconscious bond on the back seat into a lake. But Bond wakes up in the last second and uses the tire valves of the car under water as a air reserve.

Meanwhile, the first part of the film plays in Paris. After a spectacular parachute jump from the Eiffel Tower, the beautiful killer May Day (Grace Jones) escapes before 007. He steals Renault 11 Taxi and accepts the persecution. Bond not only jumps on a bus, but also races down a staircase and even turns the Renault into a convertible while driving through a closed barrier.

To make matters worse, the taxi is rammed by another car with full force and torn into two parts. Bond but remains completely cool – and continues on two wheels. After all, the Renault has front -wheel drive. How this works with fuel supply remains cinema magic. Of course, Roger Moore was not at the wheel, but stunt driver legend Remy Julienne.

The French steered one more Renault Fuego at, which, however, only occurs one ultra -shortage. The same fate shares the Chevrolet Corvette C4, The bond in the second part of the film drives in the USA. There he provides another chase in San Francisco, and at the wheel of one American Lafrance fire department cars.
