In 2017, the BMW Group managed more than 100.000 electrified vehicles to be delivered. They now want to build on this success and increase sales to 140.000 electrified vehicles. The company also aims to maintain its leading position in the premium battery electric/plug-in hybrid segment. Compared to January 2017, sales of BMW i, BMW iPerformance and MINI Electric vehicles increased by 36.7%. The company is thus well on the way to achieving this goal.

Around the world it turned 7 in January.155 electrified premium BMW Group vehicles delivered to customers. More than a quarter of all BMW and MINI vehicles sold in Scandinavia were electrified. Other very strong markets include the UK/Ireland, where electrified vehicles accounted for 11.1% of BMW and MINI sales, and the US, where that share was 5.2%. It is important to maintain momentum in order to achieve the targeted e-sales figures in 2018 as well.

  1. My, BMW could easily (demand wise) sell 200,000 electrified cars. In Norway, for example, there are long queues (several 1000 per model) for all newly announced (as well as those already on the market) electric cars. The problem is the delivery. the worsening situation in the production of batteries, I would say. This is not so obvious in Germany because the demand is (still) babble due to the high price and the lack of infrastructure.
