Piece for piece unveils Kia one of his upcoming E cars. On the 17th. November on the Los Angeles Auto Show 2021 the Kia Concept Ev9 is to celebrate its world premiere. Due to the current teaser photos one recognizes the EV9 as a large, chunky electric SUV. Of course, Kia is still covering with respect to the technical data and says only that the EV9 has an “ultramodern external design”.
If one draws a comparison, for example to the e-soul, which probably no less klobbig comes from, the old models in fact “outdated” look. Compared to the current KIA EV6, the EV6 presents itself as a box-shaped and has a nearly shallow roof line. He seems to be significantly greater, which explains the jump of “6” to “9”. Since it is a concept vehicle, it has the usual design features, such as large wheels, side cameras and high-tech lighting with LEDs flanking the closed grille. What comes in series will show.
Kia
Typical for a concept vehicle are the missing door handles that give the KIA EV9 a slimmer side profile, and the massive sunroof in the form of a hexagon. Muscular character lines extending from the fenders to the A and B columns as well as downwards give the stromer an imposing appearance. In the interior, the electric car should set a minimalist design, which will have little conventional controls. Much of the interaction with the EV9 should be done via an ultra-widescreen that dominates the dashboard.
Currently it is still unclear whether the EV9 will have a one-piece screen or multiple displays in the same housing. Under the touchscreen, white illuminated, touch-sensitive buttons are attached, while the links there is a retro futuristic steering wheel, whose shape is far from being a real steering wheel. A continuous center console separates the driver from the passenger and contains a long armrest that seems to open shared. It remains to be seen whether the entire center console can be moved forward and backwards as the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
Hyundai is also shortly before the unveiling of a larger electro-SUV concept. The Seven is officially presented on the same day and on the same event as the EV9 – on the 17th. November on the Los Angeles Auto Show.
