The Mini Electric Concept was developed and conceived for use in urban metropolitan areas, powered by an electric motor, in an iconic design that still does not misuse the roots of the minis. So at least the first e-car of Mini was announced as a concept vehicle in the run-up to the IAA 2017. Compact, agile and sporty – three keywords that match the design of the Mini Electric Concept. And also partially find in the series.
At least this convey the current photos of the Erlkonig of Mini. The new mini electro almost unsuspected was painted by one of my readers at the SMARTRICS charging column on the A8 exit Bad Reichenhall / Piding directly at the Burger King. This is currently loading the batteries on the 50 kW charger.
The pity is merely that the probably hexagonal cooler grill of e-minis is not yet recognizable. This will be associated with the round headlamps for a high recognition value. Where the headlights also shaped a little differently than in the concept vehicle. Also in color, this test vehicle is still a little back.

It is a pity that the charging connection was once mounted on the right. At public charges no problem, but at home in the (single) garage. Because the car is parked in this as far right as possible to get off. An infrastructure, such as door or wallbox, is therefore always on the left side wall of the garage. So why is not the charging port on the car left mounted? Thinking poor, put 5!
Greetings, Thorsten
When I park on the street, the charging connection right is already useful. Should I put the cable around the car? If you have no room in the garage with a mini, you have to think about whether the garage is not too small.
The performance of an E-Motor is actually determined by the available energy. Even if it is the same engine as in the I3, this, it should allow its construction to bring this significantly more power here if the battery has more output.
