Mitsubishi and the next generation of German motor vehicles - understanding electric vehicles-understanding

The German car industry is to be set in time for dealing with electric vehicles. Mitsubishi Motors Germany hands initial training materials for budding car masters to the Chamber of Crafts.

“We experience an extreme technological change, especially in the automotive sector. That’s why your initiative is so important.”This said the managing director of the Handwerkskammer Wiesbaden, Dr. Martin Pott, on the occasion of the handover of first training materials on electric vehicles for prospective journey and masters in the car industry.

Before the official handover of the training documents, Peter Siegert, from the Sales Management and Green Mobility i-MiEV department at Mitsubishi Motors Germany, presented the vehicle to the representatives of commercial schools and the motor vehicle guild. In a few weeks, the Chamber of Crafts will also be provided with a Mitsubishi i-MiEV as a training vehicle for the workshops.

Mitsubishi Motors is the first vehicle manufacturer in the world to mass-produce and sell an electric vehicle suitable for everyday use with the “i-MiEV”. The Japanese company has been manufacturing electric vehicles since 1971. According to Siegert, this has a lot to do with visions. An important point is the battery technology, which requires complex technical skills in electric vehicles. “Training documents are the basis for mastering this mature but also complex technology,” says Siegert.

Mitsubishi Motors Germany announced that further training material for the next generation of automotive mechanics and mechatronics technicians would be made publicly available on the Internet for all schools and training companies. The group has now been unlocked and is to be found here.
