Site "Driving license destruction machine": AutoClub boss calculates with a new catalog of fines

The new fine catalog for drivers adopted in February comes into force today – and it contains drastic tightening. In contrast, cyclists will be treated preferably in the future. Site shows where drivers are particularly cashed in.

After the Federal Council of the government’s amendment to road had already agreed in February, the new provisions will occur On Tuesday, the 28.4. in force. Many traffic violations become more expensive, and there are also some innovations and changes to road users. Some examples:

1. Speed limit: from 21 km/h the driver’s license is gone too much

Drivers who do not pay attention to the speed will pay much higher punishments in the future and also lose their driver’s license faster:

  • If you are traveling too fast within and outside and out of towns at 16 km/h, you have to count on one point now.
  • There is also a fine of 70 euros (urban) and 60 euros for exceedances outside of closed towns.

In addition, an inner -city exceeding of the speed limit by 21 km/h has far -reaching consequences than before. At a fine of 80 euros and two points in Flensburg, a one -month driving ban is now expecting the speed offender. In addition, these punishments (95 euros, driving ban for one month) take effect from a limit of 26 km/h. This also means that the previous rule can be used to prove a driving ban according to the speed sinner, which were too fast within 12 months of at least 26 km/h.

2. Rettunggasse: If you do not form it, you pay a high punishment

Drivers who do not form a rescue alley have had to expect 200 euros in fine since the end of 2017 and two points in Flensburg since the end of 2017. Now this punishment is being tightened by a one -month driving ban even without realizing a concrete danger or disability. So far, this was only possible if there was a disability or threat to third -party damage to property damage. The amount of the fines for these offenses remains unchanged and amount to 240, 280 and 320 euros – always with two points in Flensburg and a one -month driving ban. Drivers who use the rescue allegedly pay at least 240 euros of fine. You will receive two points and a driving ban of one month.

3. Park violations: new rain of money for municipalities

Also disregarding parking rules is becoming more expensive – many financially clammy communities are likely to be happy about higher income. Up to 100 euros fine and even one point are possible. Anyone who parks their car in a confusing place now pays 35 instead of 15 euros. The costs for parking in a fire brigade access increase from 35 to 55 euros. If the use – or rescue vehicles are hindered, the fine increases to 100 euros, there is a point. The inadmissible parking of vehicles on a severely handicapped car park and on parking spaces provided for e-and car sharing vehicles also costs 55 euros. Parking or stopping in the second row is now being punished with at least 55 euros.

4. Cyclists are preferred

Velo users should be particularly protected by various requirements in the StVO amendment. In addition to tightened tariffs for car parking on protective strips or bike paths, for example, vans or trucks over 3.5 tons in urban locations are not allowed to drive faster than walking speed when turning right. Violations mean 70 euros in fine and one point. Cyclists can now expressly drive side by side if they do not disabled the traffic. Drivers have to keep a minimum distance of 1.50 meters and 2 meters out of town when overtaking to other road users.

5. Speed camera apps: use becomes expensive

The fine for the use of a speed camera app during the trip is 75 euros, a point is entered in the driving suitability register (you can find the assessment of a traffic law expert here). Auto posers have to dig deeper into the pocket. Causing unnecessary noise and exhaust gas as well as the useless way back and forth can cost up to 100 euros.

"Protect weaker road users"

According to a tweet of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, the new rules should above all "weaker road users" How to protect cyclists and pedestrians.

ADAC criticizes new catalog of fines

At ADAC and FDP, the new regulations met with sometimes violent criticism. "Drivers have to know: speed violations are banned from driving both in urban areas and outside – regardless of the risk situation and without adequate differentiation", said ADAC transport president Gerhard Hillebrand of the German Press Agency.FDP transport expert Oliver Luksic said that the new catalog of fines is missing "partly in size and middle". It is inappropriate to punish the wrong parking in a parking lot for electric cars as well as in a parking space for severely disabled people – for both, 55 euros are due from Tuesday. And that in the future a one -month driving ban will threaten if you are caught too quickly at 26 kilometers per hour, be too fast "Due to practice and covered".In contrast, Green Transport expert Stefan Gelbhaar welcomed the increase in fines in principle, but criticized that the new rules would only help very little to the foot and bike traffic. There is no relief for the introduction of speed 30 in cities and municipalities. Road safety zones in which only trucks should enter that have a turning assistant are also not in sight. Scheuer is also a duty in view of the Corona pandemic to improve quickly. "Right now, more space is necessary for cycling and foot traffic in order to be able to comply with the applicable distance bids at all", emphasized yellow hair.

  1. Great
I am happy for everyone who agrees to this tightening, if he has a little … I am happy for everyone who agrees to this tightening if he is overlooked and flashed because of a little non -ignition, it works so quickly. As a result, many "non -grassers" are very stressed. Real speeders are mostly warned anyway. At 30 km/h, even where it would not be necessary, struck is added. Is that proportionate? I would say yes if there is another special situation, such as the warning sign children (school) in connection with the 30 restriction. There would be proportionality. So I just think it’s bad. Checks are usually done where it pays off.

  2. Drivers as a scapegoat and corona financier
The undesirable law combed on the back door, as always when something else (now corona) concerns people. Poorly. In fact, in fact you shouldn’t drive too fast in the villages, but: in recent years the 30-toned mushrooms have been shot out of the ground like poisonous mushrooms. In the meantime, you can only dack around at 30 km / h in entire towns. That is extremely exaggerated! The 30kmh restriction should be again what it was once again: an exception! and "Traffic hidden", who drive too slowly, also tighten! I find it impossible that cyclists are allowed to drive side by side, how should you overtake them? It is also exaggerated that people will be cashed in the driver’s license so quickly, for many he is a professional essay. And Mr. Scheuer should finally be stepped back!!!

I would also have welcomed an increase in sentences, but in my opinion the fundamental tightening of the actual rules shoots significantly over the goal. Here I would have liked more proportion of those responsible.

  4. total nonsense
I had dealt with this topic for over four decades and reject these tightening. On the one hand, because I participate in road traffic both as a pedestrian, cyclists and drivers and have never experienced as many and frequently occurring violations as with pedestrians and especially among cyclists. Their call for protection is like bigotry. With the current measures you want the "toll"-Move out losses and the missing traffic controls. Instead of a max on Bab. Introducing speed of 120 km/h and in town 30 or 40 km/h, you can again use regulations to tighten. Typically shy.

  5. Another far away…
All tightening is long overdue, but unfortunately not yet far enough. In a European comparison, we are still the penalty discounter and just like that our drivers behave: the cities are still shaped by cars or. Streets and people have to submit. The inner cities are not worth living by noise, bad air, dangers and more and more space problems. Cars in the cities (except for the necessary delivery traffic) should be so expensive that hardly anyone wants to afford it and the funds of the incorrigible are put into the conversion of the infrastructure for bicycles and public transport. The Netherlands and Scandinavian countries have been doing it for years and the quality of life of the people there is steadily increasing.

  6. Realistic legislation
When I finally drove downhill on a two -lane inner -city street at 60 km/h, I didn’t believe my eyes when I was overtaken by a modern helmet. The newly positioned stationary flash pillar kindly gave me a photo during my amazement. (Werdener Berg in Essen) Speed is efficiency. Speed limits are often set up as a welcome source of income. Of course, security has a priority, I think it is useful for safety reasons for retraining the ecologically miscalculated Schleicher with sanctions in the event of a repetition. Cyclists and driving do not belong on the same road, but I think when I ride a bike. Mr. Scheuer, I ask you to rethink your nonsense.

also adapts the sign forest. If you see how where it is regulated, this is at the discretion of the respective person. And there are funds for traffic -dependent regulations and what is, the speeds are frozen.

  8. The cyclists
Bicycle paths were built for tens of thousands of euros and where do they drive around, next to the bike paths on the street and nobody is interested and there is no fine for that

  9. @ Jo Schulz
It may be that cycle paths are sometimes not optimal, but this is hardly the reason why so many hobby racing drivers, Moutainbiker and other important people do not use the bike paths. That is probably a question of the principle
