According to a joint statement, Nio and Shell plan to develop and build a network of co-branded battery swap stations, initially in China and Europe.     If you look at the current cost development in fast charging stations, in which the operators are now trying to work with profit, it will be clear that change batteries will require a premium surcharge again. The concept makes only highways make sense, where the change stations are largely utilized as possible around the clock. With rising reach and loading speeds, technological progress also shrinks from year to year.

    Nio is not Tesla. Since currently no European car manufacturer has announced the intention of participating in this system, the customer base remains limited to NIO riders first. Tesla was technologically leading with the Model S. In addition, the image came. I do not see both at Nio. If the successor can do 50% more, i.e. 132 kWh can be used and has an average charging speed of 300 kW, you are already in an area from which there are hardly any practical advantages.
