NPM formulates requirements for construction Public charging infrastructure-charging

The AG 5 of the National Platform Future of Mobility (NPM), which deals with the linking of transport and energy networks, the sector coupling, has presented two new papers to develop public loading infrastructure: the report “Needs-based and economic public charging infrastructure” (here as a complete pdf) and the “theme paper customer-friendly shop” (here as a complete pdf). It was about two more and more important questioning positions.

How can the future demand for public charging infrastructure be determined, so that it can also be operated economically? A dynamic model provides answers taking into account technology development in electric cars and the loading of the charging infrastructure. What makes a customer-friendly loading infrastructure? The topic paper works out the key features and identifies the key topics. Currently there is less a regulatory, but above all a (up) conservation requirement.

“The successful expansion of the public charging infrastructure must be designed as needed and on the user needs and vehicle technology. The right mix of the charging options – at home, at work, on the road and charging performance are the essential factors that develop continuously. But the charging infrastructure must also be operated economically if we want to be sustainably successful. That is, the utilization of the charging infrastructure must be right. Both – needs or efficiency – are therefore key points that need to be taken into account in public funding. Of course, the charging process must also be customer-friendly. We already have a very good regulatory framework; Now it is important that in the market, the attractive products and services prevail.”- Kerstin Andreae, Chairman of the main management of the BDEW Bundesverband der Energy and Water Management E.V. and chairman of the AG 5 of the NPM

Demand-based and economic expansion of public loading infrastructure

For accelerating the charging infrastructure construction in public, but also in the private sector at home and at the employer, the AG 5 last year had submitted the “instant package charging infrastructure 2019”. Essential points of this instant package were subsequently taken up by the Federal Government in their “Master Plan Loading infrastructure“.

The report on demand-oriented and economic expansion of public loading infrastructure now provides additional information on the central question, how much and which charging infrastructure is necessary for the supply of the seven to 10.5 million electric cars available for the year 2030. The AG 5 has developed a dynamic model that connects customer requirements (public or private loading) and vehicle technology (fast or normal shops) with an economic utilization of the charging infrastructure. This dynamic model can also be well reflected in the next few years in the customer’s behavior and vehicle technology well and to be used for continuous monitoring.

The frame parameters from the “corner points for the climate protection program 2030” of the Federal Government, the “master plan Loading infrastructure of the Federal Government” as well as the coalition agreement have been incorporated. These frame parameters set a very wide target corridor between 180.000 and 950.0000 charging points close to. The numbers show how much the future charging infrastructure requirement represents a “Moving Target”, which requires continuous monitoring. But it also becomes a lower limit, which for 10.5 million electric cars at around 40.000 fast and around 130.000 normal load points is. Last but not least, the model shows that in public funding the perspective economy of the charging infrastructure in the sense of its utilization needs to be taken into account more.

Customer-friendly shop

To load an electric car is a new experience and not with refueling comparable to users and users. Therefore, there is no general understanding in the public discourse, which makes “customer-friendly shop”. This is important in that a definition is needed to focus on discussion and identify key issues and action needs. This provides the topic paper.

Loading is then defined as a customer friendly if it is simple, always and everywhere possible, transparent and safe. Another feature is the comfort when loading. Based on this definition, the paper gives an overview of the relevant topics such as information on the availability of the loading point (“Load”), the technical interoperability (“always and everywhere”), information about the charging process (“transparent”), privacy (” safe “) and a reservation function (” comfortable “). The legislator has already created a very good framework for customer-friendly shops – to a few exceptions, so that competition-driven user-oriented solutions develop. In addition, (up) clarification requirements for the associations involved were agreed.

  1. Exactly, relatively simple technical matters such as electricity loading, are now discussed on a glorious level, which is hardly to be overparted at probabilities. And why, because the state subsidizes this with our taxpayers that it bangs. If the state did not initiate all the gypsy, every second discounter would now be available for free in Germany.

  2. PS: Again and again the same question arises: Are politicians and industrial actually too stupid with us, or is still burst by both e-mobility with all agents. Anyway, the citizen pays useless, or is completely fooled – probably both. What do you think ?

  3. For 20 years, the German automotive industry has been able to market functional and cost-effective fuel cell vehicles on the market. Instead, it has continued to produce fossil combustion, the technology and future overslept and begins now to get taxpayers to push the next technical nonsense in the market.
After the motto: after me the flood and the environmental damage. The main thing is the “coal” and the dividends!
    Great value creation!!!

What The F … – Which planet will come these experts?
There is no discourse, because there is only one benchmark: Tesla. Plug and batch, Europe-wide, about all models, point.
This chart with loading cards and roaming – aaaaaiiiiiih husk.
Who can let go of this situation with serious on OTTONORM?
Absolutely no understanding of people who think there would have to be a discourse now.

  5. A card with which can be loaded on all charging stanchions and billed at the end of the month at the credit card or the bank account settled, every E-car driver / driver should be handed over during vehicle takeover. The card made every buyer / lessee from the vehicle manufacturers, etc. hand over or.be attached to the vehicle and could possibly with other radio ions / data. complement.
The loading possibilities in private and public underground garages should be able to enable intelligent controls a high number of connections, without expensive line amendment . Then the demand for E vehicles significantly increases. I drive the e-mini.
