Only 40 out of 835-funded electric breads in operation-operation

In the past two years, the Federal Ministry for the Environment has subsidized 835 e-buses over the “funding directive on the acquisition of electric breads in public transport”. This goes from a request of the Green Bundestag deputy Sven-Christian Kindler, budgetary spokesman, and Stephan Kuhn, transport policy spokesman for the group, from which the Berlin Tagesspiegel quotes. However, the data also shows that these electric exercises have so far only 40 to traffic. Commissioning delayed due to high bureaucratic hurdles, the test duration for the applications and delivery times for the vehicles.

Converted to two years, the electric breads make a share of about ten percent of more than 4,000 new registrations of Omnibussen. By 2030, this would have risen to 90 percent, Germany wants to reach its climate goal and halve emissions in this area. The daily mirror refers, however, that market saturation curves usually run S-shaped and a faster market saturation is followed for initially slow growth, as is already suggested at electric cars.

In total, electro buses have been promoted in 2018 and 2019 with 278.5 million. For total project costs of 417.2 million euros, the funding rate was on average with two-thirds.

“A real contribution to climate protection and clean air”

The Green Bundestag deputies values the funding program of electric breads despite the starting effects as a success and demand an increase by another 500 million euros: “In order to really create the road to more clean mobility in the cities and municipalities, the Federal Government must the transport companies in the procurement of Support e-buses significantly more, “say Kindler and Kuhn the Tagesspiegel with.

In the course of a stimulus program after the corona crisis, the promotion should be significantly expanded, challenge. “This could be promoted around 1500 other e-buses and charging systems throughout Germany. That, and not a scrapping premium for dirty diesel and gasoline cars, would be a real contribution to climate protection and clean air, “quotes the leaf the two Greens.

  1. Cruel, a pity and not to understand for me!
If more than 2 years does not seem to be 5% of the millions of subsidies (climate-friendly) spent, the business administration is insane!
Is it the German bureaucracy or are the vehicle manufacturers that stand by progress in the way? What’s going on in Germany???

  2. The text or. The headline suggests that the vehicles do not come. Of course you have to relatinate that, nobody takes the money in the hand and the next day has e-buses in the yard. A European bus termination can be overwhelmed for over a year. Previously, specifications must be created, for the topic E-Bus should not be finished in the drawer. If you still expect the delivery times of one year ..

  3. The thing is quite simple, here is an example from our neighboring town of Remscheid: There have been 40 brand new buses, of course, diesel buses, from Mercedes. It is rumored that the OB of Remscheid (SPD) have received lush lubrications from Mercedes. Of course, such transactions do not go for state subsidized and controlled projects and therefore there will be only a few electro buses in another future.

  4. The true scandal is that this federal government left nothing for electromobility in Germany. It’s a joke just 280 million. To provide, while Germany thanks to Mrs. Merkel 1 MrD. to India for electric breads there, that are almost 3 in the above numbers.000 additional e-buses. If I compare such numbers, this hypocrite Schulze no longer coming with diesel bans in inner cities

  5. That’s just not true!!!
Already alone with me at work with the Berlin traffic companies we have already over 60 eBuses, which are also funded.
Hamburg also funded, Rhine-Ruhr as well. There are already far> 200 of which I know. And moreover, the funding money is not only for the buses, but also for the charging infrastructure, which is not exactly cheap.
