What good is the little electric car that is available for the price of a diesel after promotion?
337 kilometers range according to the WLTP standard, 100 kW (136 PS) and a solid manufacturer with a lot of experience: If you go by the paper version, the Opel Corsa-e could actually be the best electric all-rounder on the market – next to the practically identical one Peugeot 208-e.
How about charging, for example? Well, if you are lucky enough to find a 100 kW fast charging station, you will be ready after 30 minutes. At least if he is satisfied with an 80 percent charge.
At home, in the garage, charging is done with alternating current. As standard, this only works in one phase with a charging power of 7.4 kW. You are finished faster with the optionally available 11 kW on-board charger, which has 11 kW charging power. Then a full charge takes 5h15. If you are not an extreme short sleeper, the Opel will be fit again faster than you will.
In our test, however, a charge took around six hours, which is probably due to boundary conditions such as the outside temperature of the battery. In 3h40 like the Renault Zoe, you can't charge the Corsa in any case. The Renault just charges with 22 kW.
An instrument display with a diagonal of 7.0 inches is standard on board the Corsa-e. The displays can be configured. For example, a navigation arrow can be displayed, the energy flows in the system or only very minimal data. The display does not impress with its functions, but it is simple and not as confusing as others.
The trunk of the electric Corsa fits 267 to 1,042 liters, as usual a little less than the versions with combustion engines. Here the Zoe with its 338 to 1,225 liters does better, at least in purely numerical terms.
