If 2021 becomes the year of Polestar 2, 2022 becomes the year of strong market growth of the performance brand of Volvo. In the course of the year 2021, Polestar starts in nine new markets, which grows the presence on 18 markets worldwide. By the end of the year, the number of stationary locations will also double worldwide.
In the meantime, Polestar plans to set next to the well-known polestar spaces on so-called “Polestar Destinations”. If the spaces can be found more typically in the city center, the destinations will find themselves in the future in larger, easily accessible locations outside the city. In addition, in the case of a purchase, the vehicle transfers to end consumers also. The physical presence of the brand is growing to around 100 locations worldwide, including some temporary pop-up locations.
“We expand both in markets in which we are already present, as well as in new markets extremely fast. For a brand that only has acted for just over twelve months, this type of footprint is unprecedented. Our goal is to grow in 2022 with a comparable speed and to open up new markets. This steady expansion in combination with our new retail concept will help to exceed the expectations of our owners.”- Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar
Mike Whittington, Head of Sales at Polestar, to understand that the focus of Polestar lies that customers can interact with the brand according to their own personal wishes. The destination concept give customers even more access to the brand and take care of some of the newer markets. In addition to the spaces, Polestar will open two Polestar destinations in Germany this year, one of them in the east of the country. The network on so-called Testdrive Hubs has also been expanded so that contactless test rides at 15 different locations in Germany can now be agreed with only a few clicks. Currently there are Polestar Spaces in Dusseldorf, Cologne, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Munich, Frankfurt am Main and by the end of August in Berlin.
By the end of 2021, around 60 more sites for test drives are commissioned worldwide to provide additional access to Polestar 2 vehicles. The customer transfer centers are also rapidly expanded. All this happens because the performance streamers should not only be experienced online. After the purchase, the physical connection to the brand in the service and maintenance phase continues. Currently there are in the Polestar markets over 650 service points, of which alone is 125 in Germany. By the end of 2021 it should already be more than 780.
How to understand the Swedish performance brand you want to be within reach of your own customers through the expansion of the network at any time. The manufacturer has taken care that high-service regions were particularly considered and expanded with additional service points.
