The electrical offensive seems to get started at the Groupe PSA. As part of the Birmingham Commercial Vehicle Show, from 30. April to 2. May, the French group gives a first view of the electrified models Peugeot Boxer Electric and Citroën Jumper Electric. The goal is to bring an electrified version to the market for each of your own car and commercial vehicle models.
“According to our strategic plan, Push to Pass, we continue the electrification of our complete model range. This new offer will be an essential competitive advantage for our brands in the contested segment of light commercial vehicles. In addition, we continue to strengthen our management position in Europe by meeting the newly incurred demand for emission-free driving and further expanding the important services for our demanding commercial customers.”- Philippe Nbeburu, Senior Vice President Business Unit Light Commercial Vehicles of the Groupe PSA
With the two major Vans: Peugeot Boxer Electric and Citroën Jumper Electric, the company offers two fully electrified commercial vehicles with two different widths. The range depends on the selected version. So it will be the 225 kilometer version in the NEDC cycle for the lengths L1 and L2 and the 270 kilometer version in the NEDC cycle for the lengths L3 and L4. These vehicles are produced in the Italian Sevel plant in Val di Sangro and electrified by the strategic technology partner BD car and homologated.
In the middle-class Van Segment, the Groupe PSA is to understand that from 2020 electrified versions of the Peugeot Expert and Traveler, Citroën Jumpy and Spacetourer and Opel / Vauxhall Vivaro Cargo and Vivaro are launched from 2020.
In the area of the so-called C-Vans, since 1998, the Peugeot Partner Electric and the Citroën Berlingo Electric are already offered. From 2021, a new generation of these models of Peugeot, Citroën and Opel / Vauxhall will be available. Previously comes from Peugeot still the E-208 – as electric car – on the street.
