The debut of the electric study will take place at the Dusseldorf Caravan Salon 2021 …
The camping hype about mobile homes, caravanning or vanlife is unbroken. And the market for habitable recreational vehicles is not only growing steadily, it is also becoming more diverse. Renault wants to combine a chilled Woodstock feeling with the luxurious appearance of a 5-star hotel on the Champs Elysees and is showing the study Hippie Caviar Hotel at the Dusseldorf Caravan Salon 2021.
The purely electric camping van study is based on the first purely battery-powered Renault Trafic, which should make its market debut in 2022. The renovation offers comprehensive comfort equipment and clever details, including delivery drones, and is intended to take leisure time outdoors to a new level. In addition, the manufacturer naturally wants to give an outlook on the new model, which will primarily have VIP shuttle customers in its sights.
With the two-tone paintwork, the design study is intended to be a reminder of the legendary Estafette in a charming camping version and the 1960s, when fresh air holidays were booming for the first time. The interior is based on the elegant design of a 5-star suite: the driver's area with natural materials such as leather, wood, linen and wool is kept in a shade of green, while the anodized silver-gray rear area is supposed to exude a certain lounge character.
The sleeping area measures 145 x 195 centimeters and can be opened both in the cabin and outside the vehicle. When the tailgate is open, you get a real feeling of being in a tent when you sleep, while curtains protect you from prying eyes and bad weather.
In the "cozy" position, an intimate lounge-style seating group is created in the interior. A fold-out outer ladder leads to the roof terrace, which is equipped with a low lounge table and two foldable armchairs.
A simple dream and more luxury camping:

The 5-star premium package rounds off the mobility services in the Hippie Caviar Hotel. However, this is not a service that helps in the event of a breakdown. Upon request, a logistics module with wet room, sanitary facilities and charging station can be transported to the desired parking space.
It is also possible to order online from the concierge service, which can be flown in directly by drone on the roof terrace. Bicycles can also be delivered so that you can explore the surrounding area by bike.
