For a year, the Renault Group has been operating the Refactory in the French plant FLINS the first European Center for Circular Economy in the Mobility Industry. With the integrated “Factory VO” the Group has the first location, where used vehicles are reprocessed on an industrial scale. From 2023 twice as many preparations planned

To the area Re-Trofit also count the now opened “Factory VO”, which bundles all activities around used vehicles. With an area of 11.000 square meters be the largest plant of their kind in Europe. Currently, according to the Renault Group, 180 used vehicles per day are prepared – these are around 45.000 vehicles per year. From 2023 the number should be doubled again. In the start-up phase, the employees of the “Factory Vo” already have more than 1.500 vehicles successfully recycled. In the medium term, the service portfolio should also include large body repairs. Also a conversion project for the conversion of beneficial electric vehicles is planned. Digitized to 100 percent, the “Factory VO” allows traceability and real-time monitoring of each work-up phase. In addition, it was interpreted by cross-brand, so that most vehicle types can be recycled. By means of high-quality vehicle scans, a standardized assessment, which makes it possible to re-process the vehicles already after eight instead of the circulation and the further marketing again after 21 days.
