Like other car manufacturers, the Wolfsburgs have prioritized the construction of electric cars in the allotment of scarce semiconductors, but completely spared e-cars. Did you still have not heard the shot in terms of semiconductors? Was the shot too quiet? Semiconductor and chipp production is now largely automated, while labor costs are likely to play the second violin, on the contrary, the transport by half the globe soon eats the cost advantage again. So the semiconductors here produces where they need them, rather than on the outstretched arm of suppliers to fidget who are not willing or able to deliver on preliminary pandemic levels. Or were capacities short-sightedly scrapped during the pandemic??
