Czech automaker Skoda has 878 worldwide in 2021 despite Covid-19 pandemic and semiconductor shortage.200 vehicles delivered. At almost 45.000 deliveries, the all-electric model ENYAQ iV has successfully launched in the markets. Thanks to the new KUSHAQ, Skoda is also growing significantly in India. The company currently assumes that the supply situation with semiconductors will gradually ease from the second half of 2022. The Czech automobile manufacturer expects positive impetus from new models such as the all-electric ENYAQ Coupe iV.
In Western Europe delivered Skoda in 2021 409.000 vehicles, which corresponds to a decrease of 5.9 percent compared to the same period last year. In Germany, its largest single market worldwide, the car manufacturer recorded 136 last year.800 deliveries and thus 15.4 percent fewer than in the previous year. In Portugal (1800 vehicles; +37.4 percent), Norway (9800 vehicles; +36.9 percent), Ireland (9100 vehicles; +21.8 percent), the Netherlands (19.300 vehicles; +19.0 percent) and in Spain (24.600 vehicles; +17.0 percent) Skoda was able to achieve double-digit growth.
In the home market Czech Republic deliveries from January to December 2021 went up 4.0 percent to 79.900 vehicles back. In Eastern Europe excluding Russia, Skoda delivered 35.800 vehicles to customers. In Russia, 90 means.400 deliveries, a decrease of 4.4 percent compared to the same period last year. In China the Czech car manufacturer delivered 71.200 vehicles out. This corresponds to a decrease of 58.8 percent.
