New engines for the SKODA OCTAVIA and OCTAVIA COMBI: The 2.0 TDI 85 kW (110 hp) is now available with a 7-speed direct shift gearbox, while the version with 110 kW (150 hp) can now also be fitted with a 6-speed manual gearbox be ordered.

The new mild hybrid engine – available for the OCTAVIA Ambition, Style and SCOUT – combines a 1.5 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with a 48V belt starter generator and a 48V lithium-ion battery. The battery with an energy content of 0.6 kWh is located under the front passenger seat and is only charged by braking energy regeneration. If necessary, the mild hybrid technology supports the motor with an electric boost of up to 50 Nm and enables the e-TEC models to ‘coast’ with the motor completely switched off. All in all, these measures lower fuel consumption by up to 0.4 liters per 100 kilometers and reduce CO2 emissions. The new OCTAVIA 1.5 TSI DSG e-TEC achieves a combined average fuel consumption of 4.7 to 4.6 l/100 km and meets the Euro 6d-ISC-FCM (AP) emissions standard. SKODA has been offering the OCTAVIA with the 1.0 TSI three-cylinder engine from the new EVO engine generation with 81 kW (110 PS)* as an e-TEC mild hybrid since autumn. An e-TEC badge on the tailgate identifies the OCTAVIA versions with this technology. The OCTAVIA 1.5 TSI DSG e-TEC Ambition starts including 16 percent VAT. at 29.204 euros.

SKODA is also expanding the range of engine-transmission combinations in the range of turbodiesels. The entry-level diesel 2.0 TDI with an output of 85 kW (110 hp) can now be optionally combined with a 7-speed DSG. The 110 kW (150 hp) TDI is now also available with a manual 6-speed gearbox.

Turn assistant expands the standard equipment

The new turning assistant is now part of the OCTAVIA’s standard equipment. The system is an extension of the front radar assistant including the city emergency braking function as well as pedestrian and cyclist detection. It gives the driver early warning of oncoming traffic when turning left at intersections. In an emergency, the turning assistant can even stop the vehicle automatically. The Bolero infotainment system with a capacitive 10-inch color display is now standard equipment from the Ambition version upwards.

The specified consumption and emission values were determined according to the legally prescribed measurement methods. Since the 1st. As of September 2017, certain new vehicles will already be type-approved according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), a more realistic test procedure for measuring fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Since the 1st. September 2018 the new WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) replaces the previous driving cycle (NEDC). Due to the more realistic test conditions, the fuel consumption and CO2 emission values measured according to the WLTP are in many cases higher than those measured according to the NEDC. More information on the differences between WLTP and NEDC can be found at www.skoda car.de/wltp.
The NEDC values are currently still mandatory to be communicated. In the case of new vehicles that are type-approved according to WLTP, the NEDC values are derived from the WLTP values. The additional specification of the WLTP values can be provided voluntarily until their mandatory use. Insofar as the NEDC values are given as ranges, they do not refer to a single, individual vehicle and are not part of the offer. They are used solely for purposes of comparison between the various vehicle types. Additional equipment and accessories (attachments, tire format, etc.) relevant vehicle parameters, such as. B. Weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics change and, in addition to weather and traffic conditions as well as individual driving behavior, influence fuel consumption, power consumption, CO2 emissions and the mileage of a vehicle.
