Tesla’s autopilot has dangerous deficits – and has already been examined by the authorities in the United States. A fatal crash in Paris raises the question again how safe the cars are.
After a serious accident in downtown Paris last weekend with a dead and 20 injuries, the largest taxi mediation in the city of the city of Tesla fleet has decommissioned. A total of 37 Model 3 remain in the garage until the cause of the accident is clarified.
Cyclists from Tesla Model 3 run over
According to a report by the Parisian daily newspaper "Le Figaro", the taxi, which the driver used for a private trip with his family, suddenly accelerated a cyclist who later died, rammed a glass container that flew through the air and finally collided and finally collided with a truck. Supposedly the driver tried to brake in vain. Alcohol control was negative. "As a precaution and until the exact cause of the accident is clarified, we decided to take the 37 Model 3 out of the company," said the G7 taxi platform, in which a total of 9,000 drivers are organized with their taxis.

Quote beginning:"The US consumer protection organization Consumer Reports, for example … describes the products of the California car maker as "satisfactory, but not at all reliably" and has banished Tesla to the penultimate place in the reliability ranking. Consumer reports classifies Teslas electric cars-together with some E-SUVs from other manufacturers-than the most unreliable cars sold in the United States." Quote end. Don’t have to be commented on. And they drive autonomously …..
surprise ?
Well, autonomous driving will certainly be standard in traffic at some point. Whether that is only one of the writers here….? no idea. However, the fact is that Tesla has been doing the opposite with their autopilot. Accidents usually happen due to human failure – logical. However, if the autopilot were better, why are they not allowed or they work at best as "Supporting assistance" ??? It is currently nothing more ! Driving yourself concentrated and not playing around the touch display….Then it should continue to work !
I’ll say it that way
I am a big fan of simple technology and especially when it comes to brakes, I enjoy the traditional hydraulic brake that is connected directly to the brake pedal via a brake cylinder. Teslas may be advanced cars but not everything that is feasible is also progressive and useful. Safety -relevant functions in particular should be operated without computer influence. Personally, such vehicles as Tesla offers are not an option for various reasons. I even think that I will stop on a certain degree of digitization that is justifiable for me and will then drive old vehicles in the future. I don’t want software dominance in the vehicle. Also no wireless communication channels from or to the vehicle.
@Fuchs brakes and steering usually have
Hardware edit, even if the entire electronics fail, is still possible without support. It’s different with Tesla? That would be fatal. The brake and steering must always remain usable by the driver in an emergency. Without support, yet effective. Otherwise, a cable interruption can have fatal consequences. Bad crimping, contact errors, everything possible.
Data do not lie!
You should let that go very well on your tongue. As soon as an accident by someone "a person" is either distracted, inattentive, too fast, too quickly, physical or mental deficits is temporarily quiet! No car would drive in the world anymore. Man is and remains the biggest problem and a computer that is too intelligent would just switch us off. Nobody also sees that an autonomous driving would save a 1000 -end life every year than to take them. Now to the Tesla in Paris. Tesla has announced all data, video inside and outside to the responsible authorities. Then you can see whether the driver did not push the driving pedal fully instead of the brake, it wouldn’t be the first time. Data do not lie!
That’s the way it is
I was responsible for such investigations with a supplier, and again and again came from home and abroad that the steering would have failed. We examined this, sometimes there was a lawyer (USA), sometimes the police or insurance, not once it was correct. Scab.
