    That’s right, is it not? No 2 people’s budget comes with 2000 kWh of annual consumption, just google. It is more around 3200 on average, which then corresponds to around 267 kWh a month. With which the specified 350 kWh is only enough for 1.3 months. A little tip, Mr. Hutzler, take off your e-car fanboy glasses in between, then you will see the reality more clearly.     Craftsmen rarely drive hundreds of kilometers to the customer, you invite you overnight and during the day I have a self -sufficient workshop car with all devices. I find the use more exciting as a towing vehicle. There are also long distances here and at 4.5t of the 600 km little. My BEV is given as 541 km, with winter tires and highway it is 400 to 450km. With such a heavy trailer, maybe 250 km of the 600 remains. Get loose in the discussion, we still have the selection for a while. I’m looking forward to driving a BEV, friends with horse trailers or caravans think differently and that’s a good thing.

    For Europe/Germany, pickups are more of a marginal phenomenon. Hard to be seen with combustion engines, probably not at all with a battery. Whether the Americans need/want an e-pickup ? Guess that will be manageable. With a few exceptions, they have no climate apanics. Love your V8 and a lot need the pickup as a tool. I wouldn’t feel like parking the thing at the charging station. How to get something like that can be seen with the police in Bavaria with their i3. You can read everything…… If the Elon will get his truck up and running at some point……Just what fans with enough coal, otherwise no chance !

It is common to bring a generator as a craftsman. You can’t always put a cable over from the neighbor. He lives 5 miles away. Therefore, these cars are very popular. As a craftsman, you usually usually bring everything you have in the USA. Therefore, double loading area and over 4 tons of trailer load are very important. In Germany this may be interesting for operators of huts in the mountains without connection to the power grid. Or maybe to make yourself self -sufficient from the power grid. Charge with PV during the day, use car batteries at night.

Or I drive about 50-100 miles to the construction site. I have about 50 kWh of the vehicle (5kW, 10 hours) and then drive 100 miles home and hang the car on the charger. That is very practical.

Everyone else who really uses the vehicle as a work animal who do not care whether a scratch will come in, probably because of the eternal loading times, will be happy to do without an e-pickup. The advertising suggests how great e-mobility is and that it can be easily used everywhere, which is currently more wishful thinking than reality, since the development of the vehicles is not out of the beta stadium for a long time. You feel a lot of senseless features as a lure for purchase.
