Only good things are said about birthday children: the Porsche 911 almost only receives compliments from Germans on its anniversary.

S.P-X / Munich. For two out of three Germans, a Porsche 911 is the absolute dream car. The current special model “50 Years of the 911” is the most popular. In a survey by the used car portal "Autoscout24", every third respondent would opt for this variant. 14 percent are enthusiastic about the current series model (type 991), 13 percent about the previous generation (997). Only 11 percent dream of the original model, the 911 from the 1960s. The enthusiasm for the Stuttgart sports car, however, is more of a man’s business. While 71 percent of drivers rave about the model, it is only 58 percent of women drivers. Around 35 percent of those surveyed do not want to own a Porsche 911 at all – the sports car is too expensive or too thirsty for them. Five percent of the approximately 1,000 respondents even consider it narrow-minded.
