If you park incorrectly too often, you risk your driver’s license

Wrong parking is considered a minor offense, but it is not. A motorist now had to painfully discover that.
W.if he regularly parks incorrectly or without a parking ticket and thus collects 18 points in the Flensburg traffic register, he can lose his driver’s license. That was decided by the administrative court in Neustadt, as announced by the German Lawyers’ Association. Because only the points collected count for the withdrawal of the driving license, not the reason for the entries.
In the present case, according to the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), a driver had a score of 18 points. The city of Ludwigshafen then revoked his driving license. On the other hand, the driver complained that the point calculation was incorrect because multiple parking without a valid parking ticket could not result in the entry of points.
The judges saw it differently. Reaching the 18 points made the driver unsuitable for driving a motor vehicle, regardless of how he received the points. In addition, a review of the registered offenses in Flensburg is not possible. However, the entry is legal if a fine of at least 40 euros has been set for the administrative offense (AZ: 3 L 664 / 10.NW).
