These were opened in 2019 and achieve an automation rate of 90 percent. Among the suppliers for VinFast are well-known companies such as: Faurecia, ZF, Durr, Bosch, ABB and ThyssenKrupp. VinFast is also working with renowned technology partners such as Gotion High-Tech, ProLogium and StoreDot to develop a modern generation of batteries for electric vehicles.

The first two electric cars from VinFast, the VF e35 and the VF e36, are SUVs in the D and E segment. It will enter the market in Vietnam, North America and Europe in 2022. VinFast electric cars are covered by a worldwide guarantee and offer extensive after-sales service in the respective markets.

Further information on the new product range will be announced before the market entry in Germany, France and the Netherlands in the first half of 2022.

The VinFast VF e35 is a medium-sized SUV of the D segment with a length of 4.75 meters and a wheelbase of 2.95 meters. This means he meets competitors like the BMW iX3.

It has five seats, a modern design and a luxurious interior. In Vietnam it is offered in two different versions with one or two electric motors. The power is between 201 and 402 hp. The 90 kWh battery promises a range of 504 km.

The larger VinFast VF e36 is a seven-seater SUV in the E-segment with a length of 5.21 meters and a wheelbase of 3.15 meters and thus even larger than the Audi Q7 and the Ford Explorer. So it would be in the same dimensions as the BMW iX, an Audi e-tron or the future SUV offshoot of the Mercedes EQS compete.

The two electric motors deliver a total output of 402 hp and the 106 kWh battery has a range of 550 km.

VinFast is part of Vingroup, the largest Vietnamese industrial and financial conglomerate led by its founder and chairman Pham Nhat Vuong, who is also the richest Vietnamese and is 344th on Forbes' list of the richest people in the world (net worth 6, 8 billion dollars).
