We should be able to order the two larger models from November
There should be at least two of them in Europe.
The smallest model, the 4.30 meter long VF31, is driven by a 150 kW permanent magnet synchronous machine (PSM) with 190 Newton meters of torque. Since there is only one electric motor on board, the VF31 should only have front or rear wheel drive. The 42 kWh battery should provide a range of 300 kilometers.
Vinfast VF31
The 4.75 meter long VF32 also has a 150 kW two-wheel drive as standard, but an all-wheel drive with two PSM engines of 150 kW each, i.e. 300 kW system output, is also available as an option. There is also a 90 kWh battery, which should ensure a range of around 500 kilometers.
The Vinfast VF33 (our cover picture) is a proud 5.12 meters long and is only available with two 150 kW four-wheel drives. At 106 kWh, the battery is slightly larger than that of the VF32. The car should cover 550 kilometers on one charge. That is about as much as the Tesla Model Y Long Range, which is also in the mid-range.
The VF31 is apparently only intended for sale in Vietnam, the larger models VF32 and VF33, on the other hand, should also be available for order in Europe, the USA and Canada from November 2021. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in June 2022. If the Google translation from Vietnamese is not deceptive, the two big cars should also be available with gasoline engines. The Vietnamese manufacturer did not provide any information on the prices of the three electric SUVs.

For all three models, Vinfast expects the maximum rating of five stars in the EuroNCAP crash test and have autonomous driving skills at level 2 or 3. The high-end versions of the three models should even offer lidar sensors and 14 cameras and autonomous driving at level 4 enable.
More electric SUVs: Mercedes EQA (2021) starts as EQA 250 with a range of 426 km
Compact SUVs with electric drive: All models on the market
Artificial intelligence, multilingual voice control and face recognition should also be on board. The pictures also show modern cockpits with large displays. Vinfast has research and development centers in Australia, Germany and the USA.

Vinfast was already represented at the Paris Motor Show 2018, with a sedan called the Lux A2.0 and an SUV called the Lux SA2.0. Both had a chic Pininfarina design and were based on older BMW models, namely the old 5 Series (F10 series, built until 2017) and the old X5 (F15 series, built until 2018). Both were not electric cars, however.
