VW ID.1
Let's start with the smallest, the ID.1. There is no official information yet, but according to a report by the British car magazine Car from March 2020, the entry-level model of the ID series should be as long as the VW e-Up.
With a length of around 3.60 meters, the car would be manoeuvrable enough for narrow city centers.
The ID.1 is said to get two battery options, most likely 24 kWh and 36 kWh. The larger battery should allow a range of 300 kilometers. The tiny one is scheduled to start in 2023.

VW ID.2
There is still little information about the ID.2 either. But Seat officially confirmed in 2019 that it is working with VW on a small electric car that will be positioned below the ID.
New rumors are now that the car should also start in 2023 (like the ID.1). The basic version should cost less than 20,000 euros. There has been no study of the car so far, our picture above shows the modular electrification kit MEB, a scaled-down version of which is to become the basis of the ID.2.

VW ID.3
Well, we don't need to introduce this model in more detail. With a length of 4.26 meters, the ID.3 corresponds almost exactly to the VW Golf. As a study called I.D. it was shown in 2016, a full four years before the market launch in autumn 2020.
VW has promised us three battery versions, with 45, 58 and 77 kWh net. So far there are two larger ones, the basic version with 45 kWh and 330 km range is still missing. The Pure variant based on it should cost less than 30,000 euros. When it comes is still in the stars. It is also still unclear when all-wheel-drive versions of the ID.3 will be available – the previous versions all have rear-wheel drive.

VW ID.4
The ID.4 was derived from the ID. Crozz emerged. Like the ID.3, it is already configurable, albeit only in three versions, all of which have the 150 kW (204 PS) rear-wheel drive from the ID.3. The market launch for the electric SUV should be at the turn of the year 2020/2021. A cheap pure version will follow soon after.
At 4.58 meters, the ID.4 is around 30 centimeters longer than the ID.3. However, the wheelbase of 2.77 meters is the same as the ID.3. The trunk has a capacity of 543-1,575 liters, which is significantly larger than the ID.3, which only holds 385-1,267 liters of luggage.

VW ID.5
The ID.5 is intended to be the production version of the I.D. Vizzion, which was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2018. At that time, the sportily designed luxury sedan was called the flagship of the ID model series. The all-wheel drive should offer 225 kW (306 PS), the 111 kWh battery will enable up to 665 kilometers.
At the German premiere in 2018, VW Head of Design Klaus Bischoff said: "A series version of the I.D. Vizzion is coming onto the market after the compact I.D., the SUV crossover I.D. Crozz and the E-Bulli I.D. Buzz." We suspect that it could be so far in 2022.

VW ID.5 Variant
The ID.5 Variant (or whatever the combination version of the ID.5 is called) is based on the ID. Space Vizzion, which featured at the Los Angeles Motor Show in 2019.
The car is apparently supposed to be an electric version of the VW Passat Variant. The 82 kWh battery (gross) enables distances of up to 590 kilometers (WLTP), the all-wheel drive will offer up to 250 kW (340 PS). The series version is to be presented at the end of 2021, according to the presentation of the study.

VW ID.6
The ID. Roomzz was presented at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show. It will probably be the basis for the ID.6, and this is probably also the car that was recently shown as Erlkonig on the Nurburgring got caught.
The large SUV in the five-meter class is aimed at families but also at business customers. The 82 kWh battery enables distances of up to 450 km (WLTP), two electric motors offer 225 kW (306 PS) and all-wheel drive. The study should initially come onto the market in China, as early as 2021, as it was called when the study was presented.

VW ID.Buzz
With the ID. Buzz is supposed to celebrate the resurrection of the legendary Bulli (the first generation VW bus) – with an electric drive. The 275 kW (374 PS) four-wheel drive study from the Detroit Motor Show 2017 should have a range of up to 600 km (NEDC).
The series version of the almost five-meter-long ID. Buzz hit the market. A sheet metal cargo version is apparently also planned.

VW ID. buggy
The ID study was also not intended as a preview of a specific series model. Buggy from the Geneva Motor Show 2019. The 4.06 meter long beach vehicle with 150 kW (204 PS) and rear-wheel drive (optional all-wheel drive) was intended to illustrate how flexible the MEB construction kit is.
The platform is also open to other manufacturers (of course for an appropriate fee). For example, Ford wants to use the MEB for a series vehicle that is due to hit the road in 2023. It can be ruled out that it will be a buggy.

VW ID.R
The ID.R, which was presented in March 2018, is apparently only intended for motorsport events and for marketing purposes. The 500 kW (680 PS) bolide took part in the Pikes Peak hill climb, among other things.
In addition to the ID.R, MEB vehicles will also take part in motorsport events for VW in the future, according to 2019. In contrast, VW no longer wants to use combustion cars as factory racing vehicles.

VW ID.4 (2021): Everything about the chassis of the new electric SUV
Most people know the ID.3, the ID.4 in the meantime probably too, but how about all the other "ID" models? VW has already presented a large number of studies with this abbreviation. What became of it or what will come of it in the future? We give you the overview.
We start with the smallest (and still hypothetical) model ID.1 and work our way up to the larger ones. Most vehicles are based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB modular electrification kit.
Derivatives of the Seat and Skoda brands are also planned, some of which have already been presented, such as the Skoda Enyaq, which is apparently practically identical to the ID.4. However, we have omitted these variants here for the sake of clarity.
