VW relies fully on electric cars and these new spy shots offer a first look at the electric sedan the company is developing. It goes by the name of Aero B. and should come on the market in 2023.

The vehicle is hardly camouflaged. Except for a piece of tape over the grille and headlights. If we have the ID.3 and ID.4 Take as a model, there will probably be accent lighting between the headlights. A black stripe would look like a grille, but not really an opening.

If you look closely, the black areas in the lower bezel aren't inlets. It's just painted areas. Electric cars don't have the same airflow requirements as an internal combustion engine, so only the opening in the middle is necessary to direct cool air to the required areas.

In profile you can see a flowing roof line that seems to merge into a slightly sloping rear. The door handles are flush and the styling along the flanks looks minimalist and straightforward. At the rear, the middle taillight is a wide strip in the upper area of the rear window. The trapezoidal sections in the lower fairing are reminiscent of exhaust pipes. for whatever reason?!

The Aero B is supposedly inspired by the VW Space Vizzion study. Like this vehicle, the Aero B might also be available as a station wagon, in addition to the sedan shown here. It would replace the Passat in the brand's model range. By switching to an electric car, the interior is said to be as large as that of the Phaeton, although this vehicle has a smaller footprint.

Like the other electric cars from VW, the Aero B will also be based on the manufacturer's MEB platform. The base model will be rear-wheel drive, but a two-engine, all-wheel drive version is also likely. There is even the option of a GTX variant designed for performance. It is worth taking a look at the technical data of the other MEB models.
