Unofficial rendering shows a kind of Strom Arteon
Like the Volkswagen Tiguan with the ID.4 has a fully electric alternative, the Passat will soon have an emission-free equivalent. For the time being as Aero B designated electric sedan was recently spotted during test drives on public roads, where it looked like a VW Jetta through a clever camouflage.
However, we have seen that VW has worked with such tricks several times in the past and we expect that a different design language will be hidden under the camouflage.
VW I.D. Vizzion Concept (2018)
This exclusive rendering gives an outlook on the production version of the Aero B. The result is a sleek, fully electric sedan with athletic shapes and a very modern overall impression. But it would be too brash to speak of an "electric Passat", since the normal Passat is getting at least one other model generation. Instead, the Aero B (the name is not final) is more likely to be the Arteon and Arteon Shooting Brake inherit from 2023.
The ID studies shown in 2018 and 2019 are the model for the rendering. VIZZION and ID. SPACE VIZZION. The front section is clearly inspired by the well-known VW electric vehicles. To be more precise, the front view looks like an enlarged ID.4, especially in the lower area of the bumper, while the headlights are slightly more elongated and have a different interior graphic.

On the side we can see large wheels with two-tone paintwork, which would probably also look good on today's Passat and Arteon. Thanks to the muscular wheel arches, the Aero B pictured here seems a bit larger than the current Passat, but that may be just an optical illusion.
We do not yet have the exact dimensions of this car. The former Vizzion was 5.11 meters long, a Passat sedan measures 4.78 meters. We bet on the 4.87 meters of the Arteon as the golden mean.

With regard to the drive, the SPACE VIZZION was still like this in 2019: The 82 kWh gross battery capacity enables distances of up to 590 kilometers (WLTP) / 300 miles (EPA). Thanks to a system output (4MOTION) of up to 250 kW, the ID. SPACE VIZZION in 5.4 seconds to 100 km / h. Said battery with 77 kWh net capacity is now available in both the ID.3 as well as in the ID.4.
