Volkswagen has made significant progress in climate protection. This is apparent from the Group‘s messages. For the new cars sold, the EU’s adapted CO2 fleet goals were complied with both in the entire group and in the core brand. In the year 2020, the group in the sum had missed the specifications even tightly, while the main division VW cars have already fulfilled them.
As it was said, the average emissions in the EU states was at preliminary figures at 118.5 grams per kilometer. This is about two percent below the threshold of 120.8 grams applicable to the Group. However, a direct comparison with the previous year’s figures is hardly possible because 2020 still the NEFZ system for the determination of emissions was. The current numbers are based on the WLTP standard. In addition, Britain 2021 was no longer in the EU. The final confirmation by the EU Commission is still out. Bentley and Lamborghini are evaluated individually by company information and are therefore not considered.
In the past year, the Group in the EU including Norway and Iceland to own data 472.300 E vehicles delivered – that’s 64 percent more than in the previous year. The proportion of battery electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrids (PHEV) to the total deliveries rose to 17.2 percent (2020: 10.1 percent). Thus, the Group in the BEV segment with around 25 percent share in Europe is clear market leader.
“Our Group-wide electrical offensive has gained significant ride last year with numerous attractive new models,” says distribution leader Christian Dahlheim. “Almost every fifth vehicle delivered in Europe had a plug, more than half of it drives fully electric.”By 2030, the share of fully electric vehicles in Europe should increase to 60 percent. So the brand Volkswagen wants the already presented SUV-Coupes ID.5 and ID.5 GTX and the ID.Build up buzz. In addition, Skoda starts with the Enyaq IV Coupe, Cupra extends the offer at the Born, Audi brings the upgraded E-Tron and Porsche comes with new variants of Porsche Tycan. By 2025, the Group is pursuing the goal of becoming the world’s leading electrical provider. From 2022 to 2026, about 52 billion euros investments in e-mobility and another approximately 8 billion euros are planned for hybridization.
Even more clearly, the core brand VW has made the numbers for 2021. The car new car fleet in the EU reached an average of 113 g / km after factory – the statutory CO2 target was 119 g / km for the brand. “The again significant overfill of our CO2 goals shows how quickly and consistently we do with our strategy on the topic of sustainability and transformation towards e-mobility,” says VW boss Ralf Brandstatter. “We make an important contribution to achieving the Parisian climate goals.”
In the past year Volkswagen delivered more e-cars worldwide than ever: in total were more than 369.000 electric cars (+73 percent) hand over – around 106.000 phevs (+33 percent) and 263.000 fully electric vehicles (+97 percent). By 2050, Volkswagen wants to be climate-neutral. As an intermediate goal, the CO2 emissions per vehicle in Europe should decline by 40 percent by 2030 (base: 2018). The manufacture including the supply chains as well as the operation of E-cars should be made up to climate-neutral.

If you know how exactly Vw takes it with numbers, then I’m not amazing me. Objectively, VW has naturally failed with all the hybridets. But you do not do it anymore than you have to.
I’m curious who then had to buy at Tesla in Q4 / 21 for more than $ 300 million CO2 certificates – but of course that was none of the usual suspects again &# 128521;
